Finished A-Levels here in June, the college has definitely took a turn for the worst. Some of the staff are lovely and care about the students and their mental health however the head and his deputy heads treat the students like children. They have no decent respect and see the students as completely lesser than them, While I attended they removed previous activities such as the ping pong table and the pool table, I've heard some of these they have been reinstated which is great however this is only for the outlook of the college. They removed the sofas not because they were old but quote "because college is a place for learning not a place for relaxtion" despite the fact that its possible to have a 3 hour break in between lessons. If you want your child to be fully prepared for university or an apprenticeship after A-Levels make sure they do not go here, they actively silence or sack any teacher that argues for the wellbeing of the students because it doesnt align with their goal to push every student to get top grades. It may be an excellent thing to get high grades but through this institution it would be a mistake. They took so much of a toll on me I went from being a high achiever to a low one in the 2 years I spent here. They expect too much from students and give too little support. Do not go here.

If you struggle with a learning disability, have any form of mental or physical health difficulties, or do not get straight A's in every exam you take- DO NOT GO TO THIS COLLEGE! The senior leadership team (particularly the new head, Dominic Pinto) treat students and members of staff like they are children, with any kind of professionalism non-existent (until ofstead or other organisations come to visit). The college has lost many members of staff in less that 6 months, so much so that the quality of the teaching in certain subjects is atrocious. Furthermore, it is blatantly clear that the headteacher's priority is the way that the college looks and the money that it recieves at the expense of its students. If you value your education and wellbeing, do not go to this college.

Had 2 children go through this college and both had good results. The college in that time has nose dived, despite still having the same teachers that taught my children well. Finger points in one direction - the current management. Itβs such a shame to see. The teaching staff deserve better. Avoid.

This college seems a bit out of the way for it's students to get to, on an industrial estate close the M1 with no bus link to or from the college off a very busy 40 mph road. Not to mention that the college is also situated right next to a Renault trucking company, with lots of wagons parked up and sometimes blocking the entrance and exit point of the college car park. The car park is small and shared with Hydra house another business on the same site as the college. In addition it can be difficult to find parking as the bays for the college parking area display signs saying staff only and the other parking bays are for Hydra House customers only. This makes picking up or dropping off very annoying, as it just becomes a free for all, with drivers deciding to wait anywhere when picking up, blocking exit points around the car park. Traffic is generally horrendous getting out after 3.30pm, as it's a very busy 40mph road you have to exit the industrial estate from. I'm not suprised there hasn't been a serious accident, as not many drivers have common courtesy to let you out, even when the traffic is bumper to bumper. Very poor design and layout, whoever thought putting a college in this location was a good idea needs sacking.

The teaching here still seems of a high quality but the new leadership team is abhorrent. If you want to be treated like a primary age child this college is for you. Parents - if you donβt want to spend your evenings listening to complaints about the new leadership team please suggest your young adults go somewhere they are respected. Last year I would have been happy to send all of my post-16 children to this college; but now regretting our choices. Please investigate alternative locations for your education.

Excellent academic 6th school in the north of Sheffield. It easily competes with the schools in the south of the city.
