As someone who suffered with having an atrocious surgery in croxteth, this one is amazing, are things perfect? No, but you can't get perfection there will always be something. But, doctors are cracking receptionists are direct and to the point which I love, get the job done and off the phone. Get through fairly quickly compared to what I see with other surgeries. Phoned up having a really bad infection, got seen got sorted got out, as it bloody should be. Applied for sick note had to call them. Again sorted and off the phone. Brilliant.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I have seen Dr Armah, Dr Perritt, and Dr Smith, and they have all been absolutely fabulous, especially while I’ve been going through a difficult time. Each of them has been kind, supportive, and genuinely caring. The receptionists are also lovely and incredibly helpful. On the rare occasion I haven’t been able to get an appointment, they’ve always pointed me in the right direction for alternative care. I can’t thank the whole team enough for the support and care I’ve received. Truly amazing practice.

This GP practice is the best by far, my son has been with Wingate since 1998, and cannot fault them. I became a patient last year 20 month’s ago and couldn’t wish for a better medical center.

I had to ring the surgery this morning on behalf of my disabled sister. I spoke to a lovely receptionist, who really listened. My sister's carer was telephoned by one of the GPs following my call, and she has a face to face appointment for later today. Thank you for caring Wingate Medical Centre.

Until recently I didn't have a problem with surgery, however after last week my view has changed a little. For 3 consecutive mornings I phoned at 8am on the dot to try and get a call back. Sounds simple enough but no that wasn't the case. Every day line was constantly engaged from 8 until 8.20, then on hold for another 10 to 15 minutes when line did connect, eventually I spoke to a receptionist who said no appointments available today, try again tomorrow or if its that serious go to A&E or walkin centre, but I don't want to wait 12 hours to speak to someone, then call back tomorrow. I repeated the cycle the next 2 days with the same outcome, I even tried patches which crashed on me. I eventually had to use an online doctor at a cost. So thank you Wingate for that expense

Would not recommend. Doesn't even deserve a star. They don't bother referring you when they say they would or bother giving baby checks. Wouldn't even be bothered about me but this is children we are talking about and their now 2 years old.

Always ready to help. I travel a long way to assist someone with special needs and I find the staff very pleasant, helpful and caring. They always try their best and I can’t expect anything more; thank you.

I've never dealt with such an awful surgery in my life. They tell you to call at 8am, phoned dot on 8 this morning, 25 minutes of an engaged tone to then wait another ten in a queue to then speak to a rude receptionist who says there's no chance of an appt and that I have to do the whole process again tomorrow. I don't understand how they're still open, I feel sick with dread every time I have to see a doctor because I know it's going to be 80+ calls to be greeted with rudeness and still not be able to speak to someone.

This doctors has gone down hill over the years now that the receptionist act as doctors with bad attitudes when you do get to see a doctor the doctors are good but the receptionist really do let them down accept collette who is lovely and has manners maybe if they all took a few lessons off cottette they would have a good practice again manners and and friendly attitudes cost nothing

I have been with this surgery for a long time but lately I am not happy re my medication. I have my medication posted which was fine during lock down but lately it’s been awful re the surgery obviously not opening emails from Wells and Wells having to remind the surgery. This has a knock on effect on my pain relief patches. I have been left over a week this time around and in am still waiting for my patches to come in the post. The original request was sent 23/09/21 and was reminded on the 29/09/21. I rang the surgery and was told that the medication I needed was not on my repeat prescription? I haven’t had any conversation with any Doctor for this to be taken off . The receptionist arranged for the medication request to be sent to Wells which at writing this review I’m still waiting for, 7/10/21 also the medication still hasn’t been put on my repeat prescription because I have checked on Patient Access. Also the receptionist did try to blame Wells but obviously it is the surgery. I am quite aware of the work that the staff have at this trying time but there are too many discrepancies ie medication getting taken of repeat prescription
