    The strand medical centre is a great medical centre the staff are friendly and efficient I'm always contracted promptly when they need to see me or talk with the Doctors the reception staff work extremely hard and should be praised for this i would recommend

    I called them this morning my mouth swallowed,the women asked me to send her pictures of my mouth,and I did sent her and guess what guys she referred me to some chemist an I went to the chemist they were surprised someone go to chemist to get checked and I got back home without knowing what’s wrong with me.really ridiculous.

    Extremely good reception staff, will always try to fit you in for an appointment.I'vebeen with them since i was a child and can't fault the service they do.

    Terrible experience . I submitted a registration form 2 months ago , and had to wait to get my placement appointment with a nurse to be officially registered. Finally I met Helena , very nice nurse, the was told now I became officially registered and can book an appointment. Today i got shocked when told that the system is not updated , and I’m not registered. I needed a very important service ( getting medical record ) for urgent appointment, but they couldn’t help . Add to this the rude and heartless way the receptionist treated me with . Really I’m gutted and regret registering there

    Never came across more rude receptionists in my life absolutely disgusting how they speak and make you feel. On the other hand the doctors here are brilliant very helpful and can always sort your problem.

    If I could give zero, I would. Had good experiences up to 6 years ago but online appointments system gone to useless, and after Dr Morris retired my new GP cancelled blood pressure drug without a consultation or even a letter explaining the decision. Have not seen staff since early 2019 when the practice nurse arranged for X-ray after two lots of tablets had not helped (seen at Litherland drop in by a superb male nurse who asked me how many I smoked, and shocked when told I had never smoked). During early stages of COVID I tried but could not switch surgery. Now switching practice to one with staff and doctors who CARE about their patients. Yes, receptionists, in my experience, have been unhelpful and some may have a superiority complex, as gatekeeps blocking access to visit a doctor, not enabling access as is needed.

    I rang this morning with a complaint that has been going on since January. I suffer with a really bad complaint and am on TpN for life, but lately things have changed. I was given a telephone consultation, with a doctor Olamide, I've never had this doctor before, she wasn't interested in listening to what I am going through and just kept talking over me. In the end she just hung up on me. I'm now left with chasing it through the receptionist to see if she has done what she said she would. I am in tears here because 6thought I'd get help or direction bit no I'm left feeling useless like I've had a good telling off by the teacher in reception. I could right a book about the good and bad experiences I've had with this doctors, wish they would bring it back where you could ring for a specific doctor.

    Reception staff very helpful. Esp Viv and young guy sorry never got his name. Thank you Doctor Wilson for your help yesterday. And for my pain free Injection. Have always found staff very polite and no problem when I ask for help . Thank you team Strand Medical Centre.

    I've only had the one doctors all my life so I have nothing to compare to but I've had my share of issues. I've been sent for a blood test were the doctor didn't specify what it was for and it was thrown away, I didn't find out this until a week later when I rang and asked for my results. I had to have the blood test again. I've also have a doctor not specify was something else was for which resulted in them testing me for the wrong thing. I had an appointment during covid, the receptionist asked some questions, then let me in and told me where I could sit. After about an hour of waiting I asked how long it was going to be, I could see everyone coming in after me going in before me. Its normal to wait long times to be seen in this doctors but there was barely anyone in there due to social distancing so it didn't make sense. That's when I found out the receptionist had forgotten to sign me in. It was particularly frustrating because I was on my lunch break. I've had doctors seem disinterested in my issues but I have had lovely doctors too. In general it feels like the doctors do the bare minimum, I've still got an issue that I've had for over six years that doesn't have a resolution. Everytime I go back they just do the same tests over and over again. The receptionists have been quite snotty on occasion, although again I have had some nice ones too. That is even if you can get through by phone, I've had to ring over a 100 times in a day, on more than one occasion, to just talk to the office staff. I wish I was exaggerating. I really need to change doctors.
