Don’t normally leave many reviews but I know how helpful I found it when researching bjj gyms & considering my first lesson, so wanted to give my feedback Complete beginner to bij, but already hooked. My grandson is 7 years old and has been attending this Academy since he was 5. He enjoys every lesson and Paul is a super instructor, always making every lesson fun but still keeping the students on task. I would recommend 5 rings to anyone wishing to give Jiu Jitsu a try. I started BJJ with Paul at Five Rings and I cannot recommend him highly enough. His technical knowledge is superb and his teaching methods are engaging and make learning an easy and progressive experience. Paul and the other instructors have also worked with my son and their skills are quickly apparent when working with younger, less experienced players. Speaking as an experienced martial arts coach for the last 25 years, I can say that Five Rings is one of the best martial arts academies that is have experienced. Highly recommend.
I couldn’t recommend five rings grappling academy enough. All the coaches are highly skilled and experienced , excellent teachers and really supportive who all go above and beyond to help each student reach their bjj goals. Because of this and because of the supportive team atmosphere of the whole club - I travel over 30 miles each time to come here to train.
I don't normally post a lot but I feel it necessary to review five rings grappling academy. The first and most Important thing when anyone comes to a sports club is that you feel like this is a place for people like you to grow and improve upon yourself. Five rings grappling is the by far not only the best martial arts club but the best sports I have ever been to for making all types of people feel welcome. It has a very welcoming and positive atmosphere which comes from the head instructor and is perfect for new beginners to feel at ease when trying something new.
Fantastic club. Have been attending for about a year and my experience at the club has been great. Really good group of people to train with and excellent instruction from a variety of coaches. There are classes everyday to accommodate any schedule. I would encourage anyone wanting to try out BJJ to give it a try at Five Rings.
I started training here one year ago and have had a very warm welcome. The coaches and head coach are great, we can drill and learn in a safe, inclusive environment as well as getting some hard sparring experience. They have classes Monday to Sunday, including early bird classes. Could not recommended it highly enough.
