   The staff are very welcoming and the shop has a good range of frames. My low rating is based on waiting 2 weeks for my new varifocals and then discovering that the prescription was wrong. I was told to persevere with them which I tried to do. Ultimately the eye strain and mild headaches were getting too much to bear. They retested my eyes and of course the results proved that the distance vision was not correct. Now I am waiting again and of course the Christmas break will delay things further. I reached out online to specsavers about the possibility of getting the glasses a bit quicker, sadly nothing seems to be happening. I paid a few hundred pounds snd used up my free NHS eye test...otherwise I'd just get a refund and go elsewhere. In 2 years time I'll most definitely use a different high street optical specialist as I've no trust in specsavers at all.

   There was lots of flexibility for times to book and the website was easy to access. When there I was quickly seen and everyone was very professional and friendly. The staff also took time to explain the examination and results. I had to get glasses and also really appreciated the candid and honest opinion of the staff member who served me. She told me which one's suited me and which one's didn't. Really saved my dilemma of deciding.

   It was a pleasant appointment. I struggle with mobility and staff made me feel comfortable, provided reassurance and even helped to carry my bag. From the eye test, to picking frames I was treated very well, received all support, advice and even had my frames fixed before the new ones could be collected. Every staff member was friendly, professional and polite, also very helpful and knowledgeable. It's lovely to be treated with such patience and positivity. Thank you.

   I Visited Specsavers Chester on the 29th of September 2025. I received Exceptional Awesome Customer Service from everyone at Specsavers such Lovely attentive Kind People. AYEISHA was so wonderful Kind and Awesome I am disabled so she helped me a lot which is very much appreciated ☺️ Also the optitian FAYE is incredible Kind Awesome and Exceptional. Faye explained everything to me and she was so Lovely she checked my eyes and found out I have MGD and I now have to do my eyes everyday, this has helped me tremendously. Thankyou So Very Much FAYE you are so much appreciated. Also the Exceptional Awesome ROB with the Beautiful Beard he is so Kind and Wonderful. The Awesome Exceptional TOM who i spoke to on the phone today 15th of October 2025 he went above and beyond for me. Dawn is so Kind Awesome Exceptional and Lovely too she is so helpful. CHLOE is an Awesome Exceptional Wonderful Kind Lady and so Lovely. GRACE is Exceptional Awesome Kind and Lovely too. I Love going to Specsavers in Chester as Everyone is so Exceptionally Kind Caring and AWESOME. Thankyou So Very Much You Are All Very Much Appreciated ☺️

   Never had a bad experience at Specsavers, Lovely staff and very professional. However, I have gone for the top of the range Occupational glasses, so I do not need three separate pairs. The only comment I have about them, is the size of the reading area on the lens, its very small and I am forever having to move my head to read a page on a book.

   Just been here today for eye test that was due....needed new glasses & was assisted by Dawn who was so helpful & patient as not easy picking from many designs/ colours as it can be so overwhelming but Dawn was just amazing with her customer care and service. I found my visit today very good & would fully recommend this shop & it's lovely staff.

   I called into shop last Thursday after Losing a contact lens. Paid £50 and was told it would take a few days to deliver. Phoned this morning- Monday- 3 times before getting through to contact lens people who now tell me it can take 2 WEEKS. Not good enough! I've used Specsavers for decades and this store is the worst I've been to. I will say the receptionist was very helpful trying to put me through to contact lens dept.

   Always had good experiences at Specsavers Chester. Am absolutely delighted with my new 'occupational glasses' that enable me to both work at a PC monitor and read documents close up. A bit like varifocals but much easier to get on with. Staff always very helpful and efficient.
