Still yet to meet with the solicitor to gain access to a will. Phone calls don't get returned. Emails go unanswered. You have to chase up for information if you want anything done. Hopefully when I finally meet with the solicitor I will have something more positive to say about my experience with Footner & Ewing (formally Access Law)

Brilliant! Had an emergency Family Court hearing. Wendy Hewstone was AMAZING and managed to pull together representation for me with only 2 hours to prep before the hearing when no other solicitor would help due to the short time. I decided to use Access Law for the purchase of my house. My husband and I are first time buyers and so needed a little bit of guidance through the process. I googled lots of firms and received lots of quotes, Access Law weren't the cheapest but they were good value, and I am glad I paid the small additional amount to have a solicitor in Southampton for ease of signing/dropping off paperwork. We were very pleased with the service we were given. Alan was always professional and helpful - he was available on the phone or via email whenever I needed him and answered all of my questions. This doesn't seem the case with most solicitors so it was very reassuring. He was quick to prepare the documents we needed and, unlike many other firms, did not charge the £50 fee per person to sort out our Help to Buy ISA bonus payment. There was a slight issue with a restrictive covenant on our property which he handled carefully and advised us at every turn. Overall I would highly recommend Access Law as a buyer, and will most likely return to them when I need to sell this property.
