   I performed at the most recent show, and what an amazing welcoming reception i received on arrival. The Producer 'Lara Gothique' was a pleasure to work with, everything in order and offers of help and check-ins throughout, which was great and well appreciated. Her staff do an awesome job with the running of the show backstage and forefront, the Cast was brilliant to share the stage with and had a calm backstage energy, all were Explosive on stage and a joy to watch from the sidelines. An all round beautiful experience that i look forward to again in the near future. I definitely would recommend to go see a show, you will not be disappointed.

   If you are looking for a place where you get fit, develop dance skills, have fun and be uplifted then Lara's classes are the place to be. She is an extremely talented, experienced visionary choreographer and teacher. You won't find lessons like hers anywhere - trust me I have searched! Once you attend you are hooked. I am a beginner but there are people in her classes who have been coming years, decades in fact and quite frankly that's because the sessions are addictive. Any age, any ability are welcome and are well looked after. Lara cares about you. It's amazing how she remembers what's happening with you - any injuries, ailments, difficulties and manages to seek you out in a room full of people to make sure you are OK and supports you. If you are a beginner then no problem you are in safe hands. She plans and teaches her routines with painstaking effort and is totally dedicated to ensuring you feel confident even if you find it tricky...the woman has the patience of a saint! She breaks down the dance into basic steps which enables non dancers to become dancers and before you know it...it just clicks. Come along as the sky is the limit and her routines take you to a magical place where you can lose yourself in the music, the moves, the rhythm and the sheer joy of enjoying a routine. I can honestly do now what I couldn't do 8 months ago. Thank you Lara for being so inspiring.

   I have been wanting to join a dance class for a while now as I have always loved and been interested in Dancing and wanted to do something for me being a Mummy. My sister in law told me about Velvet Burlesque and how much she enjoyed it but i still put it off for a good while as i wasn't confident enough to sign myself up for it, basically making excuses but I finally did and was so nervous when the day came but Lara instantly made me feel so welcome and relaxed as soon as i walked through the door, she kept checking up on me throughout to ensure I was ok. Lara is a really friendly and lovely person and her teaching and encouragement is the best...trust the process! I am so glad I made the decision to join, the atmosphere is fab and it's boosted my confidence, I love it and look forward to going every week.

   As a beginner, I just wanted to find a dance class as I love moving to music. I did a Google search and found Lara’s dance class which is great fun and inclusive - I recommend it 100%. You can be who you are because Lara makes everyone feel super welcome and relaxed, she’s a dynamic and friendly teacher, breaking down dances, making the classes really enjoyable so you live in the moment. It’s been an opportunity to learn something new and exciting, meet new people, and it’s good for your body and mind too. The atmosphere allows you to thrive, it’s a joy I look forward to every week.

   It took me a while to pluck up the courage to attend Lara’s classes, but I’m so glad I took the plunge! She is welcoming, inclusive of all and I always return home from her classes feeling empowered with a smile on my face. I would recommend her classes to anyone, even if you have no prior experience. I’m so pleased I got over my shyness and now look forward to her classes every week.

   Since the beginning of January 2023 I've been attending burlesque classes here and I'm so glad I'm doing this. Everyone is so lovely and welcoming and Lara is a brilliant and dedicated teacher who is in tune with everyone in the class. If you're thinking of doing this and worry you can't do it, you definitely can! I have had absolutely no dance experience and have completed one dance routine with the class already! I look forward to it every week and can't recommend it enough.

   Fabulous night at Cabaret Gothique in an intimate setting. We have been coming to Lara's burlesque and cabaret nights for several years and they are always a pleasure. A fabulous reason to get dressed up and have a thoroughly eye opening, engaging, titillating night of entertainment with burlesque, magic, acrobats and all manner of beautiful creatures.

   I first messaged Lara last summer after hearing that she would be returning to teaching classes after things opened up via Instagram. I am so glad I did! I've constantly been made felt welcome, even though I'm profoundly deaf and often needed some minor adjustments. In Lara's classes you're learning to work with music, and learn moves that are often challenging. Lara will break down each step and move many times as you need, even giving you alternative steps or moves if you are unable do an certain move due to limitations. For example in my case, my deafness means I cannot hear certain musical cues so Lara supports me in this by placing me close to her. Another thing I've been unable to do is sudden spins. Not a problem says Lara and shows me an alternative. Lara doesn't make you feel ashamed for being different, having limitations, or having problems that is at home that is affecting you personally. Lara has created a lovely place that is safe for you to come and leave behind whatever you have for few hours and dance away your troubles away. Well I've made myself come so many times after considering cancelling and coming away glad I haven't and feeling miles better. Lara cares about each of her students and it shows, you get people that come back week after week, month after month and year after year! To sum it up she comes very highly recommended and one of best teachers I've come across.
