   Specsavers Broughton. On balance, good and friendly service. However, the young lad at the welcome stand greeted me with “You okay?” instead of “Hello, can I help you?” and once checked in for my appointment said, “Go and sit down in the waiting area”. Nice lad but needs training on customer etiquette. My other observation is that the optometrist, who examined me, didn’t go through nearly half of the focus assessments that I’ve had with other clinicians at the same store on previous visits, which greatly surprised me.

   Wonderful experience from my test to choosing glasses and having them fitted properly. Made to feel very relaxed with confident, experienced staff. Andrew was particularly helpful with excellent advise with a smile. Will be back again soon for a spare pair of reading glasses.

   Received excellent customer service from start to finish at my appointment in Specsavers in Broughton on 6/11/2025 and then on 13/11/2025. Special praise to the trainee optician- Hill, who I had my appointment with. He was extremely professional and competent. He explained things to me in a clear, understandable manner.

   An emergency call in after my glasses snapped in half, saw an assistant very quickly who explained my options. Chose 2 new pairs on the deal, and within a week they were back in store for pick up. Great service and very helpful staff

   The prescribing optician was absolutely brilliant, Even though the person operating the scanning machine was just learning, he knew to ask for help and got the job done. The prescribing optician was very quick to sort out an appropriate prescription and now I can see the best I have done for years. A good range of frames at different price points. But so many confusing permeations of deals it took 2 members of staff to work out the best one for me as I wanted 3 pairs of varifocal glasses with 2 different frames. Hence only 4 stars. The prices were not too bad in the end. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and served me quickly. Best opticians I have found so far. I hope they keep it up!

   Booked my eye test on line, no problem . Had eyes tested, again no problem. Ten days later received my glasses all perfect. Throughout, no pushiness to purchase expensive glasses or extras, just friendly helpful advice. Very pleased.

   My Mums referral was meant to go to the hospital in January and still not received by the hospital. The store say that it has been sent yet since January the hospital say they have not received. Personally dealing with this store has been an ordeal not very helpful and today left wondering if the referral will get to the hospital. Staff are unhelpful and generally not a friendly atmosphere. My mums had three appointments since December and each time a long wait. No one ever comes to let her know how long she will have to wait or what will happen. The best way to describe it is conveyor belt service. Very little customer care. I never write a bad review it takes a lot for me too
