   The shop is beautiful and there is a really nice selection of home goods but the customer service seems non existent. I came into the shop today and said hello to one of the staff and didn’t get any kind of response or offer of help and then was followed around the shop in silence- really really uncomfortable.

   I ordered lights from this company over six months ago, and it has honestly been one of the most frustrating and upsetting experiences I’ve ever had with any retailer. I was told the lights were coming from France and to just keep waiting — months passed with no updates. When I went to the Kingston store to find out what was happening, I was told the item had been discontinued and I’d get a refund. Then I was told only head office could process it and that I’d get my money back within five days. Five days came and went — nothing. For weeks, I kept chasing both the store and head office, getting nowhere. The same robotic replies every time: “your order is being looked into,” when they knew the order had already been cancelled. In the end, I had to contact my bank to step in and help. Eventually the company refunded me — but unbelievably, they later claimed they had refunded me twice and threatened to take me to court. I was completely shocked. I had only ever received one refund, yet I suddenly found myself dealing with court papers over money I didn’t owe. It was stressful, humiliating, and absolutely unnecessary. After I submitted my side of the story, the company quietly dropped the case. No apology, no explanation, no acknowledgment of the distress they caused. I was treated appallingly for something that wasn’t my fault, and the whole ordeal left me disgusted. I will never buy from this company again. No customer should ever be treated like this — it was a disgraceful experience from start to finish.

   We purchase an expensive Hidde leather chair and footstool in Kingston. The chair is lovely but the delivery service was shocking in terms of info about the delivery date. Despite subsequent emails to Customer Services and more recently the Store Manager, our points have been totally ignored. They need to up their game, given these are not small items. Having previously purchased furniture with varying delivery service we won’t be going back again.

   Beautiful shop, but abysmal, I mean non-existent customer service from the 5 staff on the ground floor. Not a single hello, my name is X, how can I help you today?... And a look of flabbergasted shock when asked for information and price on and item. This place must be heamorrhaging money on utilities and staff costs. That this shop still exists is a miracle!

   We have some lovely stylish sofas from Heals which we are very pleased with. We recently bought an ercol dining table, again lovely with what we thought were matching chairs. When the chairs were delivered they were of a different colour to the table - turns out they were Ash rather than the Beech chairs in the store. The Heals staff are not knowledgeable about their products and have made it difficult to recognise the problem. See photo of table and non- matching chair below.

   After my previous review about my awful experience with the delivery company, Heal's have agreed to offer a full refund, that's the reason for my rate update. Sid in customer service has been fantastic, dealing with Heals Kingston and the delivery company. Thanks to him the refund was processed in less than a day.

   Today was a complete joy to visit Heals in Kingston. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted and looked after beautifully. Drinks were offered and the service from the knowledgeable salespeople was excellent. Thanks. Oh yes, there are some great pieces of furniture in store too! And even Some bedside tables and Lamps !!!
