15 cars sent and none arrived, called and was told that drivers kept cancelling and when one accepted, it would be 10 mins, which would be 15 mins after the time we requested. No one accepted the job, this is basically the uber gamble! We booked with these guys to avoid itβ¦ seems itβs just the same!

I used to use this firm all the time when they were an independent - 659 - and they were great. V bad experience with them as Veezu. Booked a cab a day in advance for 11.15 to train station to catch a train at 11.54. Car hadn't shown by 11.20 so rang and was told it was 10 mins late, then 25 mins late and no guarantee. Too late to walk by that point. What is the point of booking? Fortunately Streamline could despatch a taxi immediately and got me to the station just in time.

We booked a car yesterday for 07:45 this morning.... Didn't arrive. My wife has an awards ceremony to attend in Leeds, so was on a tight schedule. Waited until 8am, checked app & was still showing searching for drivers. She had to call a colleague to pick her up. Such amateurs, & certainly not a professional attitude to clients. Thankfully, her fare was refunded immediately. I agree that a 0 star rating would appropriate for this "service", but this is sadly not to be as failure is still rewarded with a single star. Absolute joke, will not be using this company again, hadn't realised 659 had been acquired by Drive/Veezu. It really is a case of checking the Google reviews first. The automated responses are a joke too, & only add insult to injury. Get it together Veezu, or get out. Edit: As expected, the usual banal response was posted by Veezu, mentioning something about "not receiving the service you expected", when in reality, we didn't receive any service whatsoever. Just an offer to fill in a feedback form. Why, so they can contain my fury within their walled garden, & not give them the bad press on the net they so richly deserve? I question their motives. They're just trying to sweep criticism under the carpet by providing an internal feedback form. You should be shamed publicly Veezu, until you show that you are a reliable entity.

Totally ruined my night through needless dishonesty. I waited 40mins beyond when my cab was due to arrive, having been sent various texts to say at least 2 different cars were on their way. I rang for an update and was barefaced lied to about the cab being on its' way only to ring again 10 mins later, speak to someone else who admitted a cab was never dispatched!!! People have lives and plans, guys. If you don't have a car to honour their booking don't extend their lateness, social embarrassment and ruin their overall plans by lying. Its really easy....just say the words...'we don't have a cab for that time frame' and free people up to try better and more professional companies. I've deleted 659 from my phone. Unreliable, unprofessional and not a stitch on the patch of whatever old 659659 used to be. I'll be replacing my 'Taxi' number with Fleetways who were honest and honoured my booking. Jokers.

Edit: Since my first, positive, experience I've had cars turning up very late and even one smelling of cigarette smoke after I'd specifically asked for non-smoking. Not so impressed. ΓΓΓΓΓΓΓΓΓΓΓΓΓΓΓΓΓ I tried to book with my usual taxi firm but would have had to wait for an hour. Earlier today, a friend had mentioned using 659 so I remembered the number and took a chance. My driver was there in minutes and the ride home went very smoothly. He was very pleasant and we chatted so I was home in no time. I will definitely use this firm again. Thank you.

Just got a lift with my grandfather after work all the way home from Muhammad. Was SO foggy, could barely see at times, we felt very safe in the car and enjoyed our chat. He was so lovely!! Highly recommend for getting in, out and around York.

I phoned for a taxi at 1330 for a collection at 1530 to York station on Friday, not a problem. Taxi didn't arrived on time, I gave it 10 minutes or so and asked where it was, was told it would be 4 minutes. Waited and still no taxi phoned again and expressed that I wanted the taxi at 1530 as I had a train to catch at quarter past. The excuse i was given was 'traffic and the driver was on its way'. I was honest not happy and expressed this over the phone. Operator then hung up on me. I don't except 'traffic' is a valid excuse I am a York resident and know how busy this city is. If you can't manage and provide realistic timelines of when your cars will be available just be honest with people and say sorry I won't be able to get a car to you then. Quality over profit. Very poor and unacceptable service.

Do not use. Booked for an event, coming from a village outside york. Rang up a second time to confirm, all good. Taxi didn't show, rang a third time and was informed we needed to have paid in advance. This made us extremely late for our event. We would have been happy to pay in advance had it been mentioned at all previously. Terrible service and no attempt to remedy the situation. Do not use.

Just spoke with a lovely dispatcher who helped us get a cab with them as another firm (York car's) had not turned up foran airport run. The otherfirms car arrived just as she had sorted it out. Lesson learned and next time it's 659. Excellent customer service. Sorry for the hassle x
