I missed my flight due to a no show, despite me having confirmed a booking the previous day. £710 poorer for it. I will never use them again.
Submitted a request for a quote via the company website. Heard nothing in response after a reasonable amount of time. Called and again made an inquiry only to be told that the company only had eight passenger vans available when the website (and company name) specifically state they have minibuses that can accommodate 16 passengers. Asked for a recommendation for an alternative business for a minibus only to be given half a name and no phone number. Really poor customer service. Should definitely avoid if you're actually looking to book a minibus as advertised. *In response to the entirely unprofessional commentary from the business below, I want to make clear that what I requested was a minibus to make multiple trips. Not a coach bus to carry 60 people at once. And again, I was told the only vehicles available were eight passenger vans and no actual minibuses.
We had 2 cars booked to take us from a local hotel to a wedding venue , booked 2 days in advance and confirmations received . The taxis didn't show up , and after waiting 15 minutes I rang to see where they were , only to be told they had cancelled them and they wouldn't be collecting us . When I asked why , they couldn't answer only to say they had sent an email to cancel , which I had not received . When I asked why they didn't call me or send SMS to cancel , as they confirmed the booking via SMS they told me they didn't have to as they had emailed , ( which I had not received ), and checking email isn't something I would normally do when I'm stood outside with my family waiting for a taxi . Shocking service , and thankfully we managed to source a better and more reliable service from Premier cars...if you want a taxi to turn up that has been pre booked and confirmed DO NOT USE Wetherby Taxis ...zero stars really should be an option for this outfit .
Booked last minute late at night for 8am the following morning. Very straightforward and easy, updates of every stage to my phone too.
I would also leave less than one star. We ordered a taxi with your company several weeks ahead to take us to the airport on Saturday and you confirmed the time, date and cost with me. However no one turned up and as it was an early pick up (4.30 am) we had little chance to order another one from another taxi company. So we had no choice but to drive ourselves and luckily managed to find parking at the airport, but this was not the start we wanted for our holiday. I will never use this company again. Very poor customer service!
If I could leave zero stars I would. Never answer the phone. So booked online. Only for the next day to cancel both bookings I made with no explanation and not answering the phone.
I would just like to say how impressed I was today with Wetherby Private Hire. I had booked a one way taxi to Wetherby from a well renowned Wetherby firm. but, I wasn't able to book a return journey as I didn't know how long my elderly Mum's appointment would be at the local health centre. Once the appointment was over I tried to get a taxi back to my Mum's home, she cannot walk far as she is recovering from an operation. The original firm I booked with could only offer a taxi with a long wait time ( In excess of an hour), other companies either didn't answer their phone or were too busy. Wetherby Private Hire came to the rescue - I was advised it would be an 8 seater car and that some elderly people do struggle to get in the car , but I assured the friendly man on the phone that come hell or high water my Mum would get in the car!. I was advised a 20 minute wait time but that a driver could potentially get to me sooner. I waited no longer than 5 minutes and a smartly dressed gentleman approached me to advise the Taxi was ready - it was a 16 seater minibus!! . I didn't get the driver's name but he was so professional and friendly and helped my Mum get both in and out of the vehicle .I was really impressed with the service we received and they were actually cheaper than the taxi we booked for the original journey. Well done Wetherby Private Hire - I will recommend you to all my friends.
Booked a taxi this morning from wetherby private hire I was well impressed with the service got me and my friends to my destination on time even with this bad weather conditions I will be using them again I would definitely recommend this private hire company to everyone
