“I would just like to say how impressed I was today with Wetherby Private Hire. I had booked a one way taxi to Wetherby from a well renowned Wetherby firm. but, I wasn't able to book a return journey as I didn't know how long my elderly Mum's appointment would be at the local health centre. Once the appointment was over I tried to get a taxi back to my Mum's home, she cannot walk far as she is recovering from an operation. The original firm I booked with could only offer a taxi with a long wait time ( In excess of an hour), other companies either didn't answer their phone or were too busy. Wetherby Private Hire came to the rescue - I was advised it would be an 8 seater car and that some elderly people do struggle to get in the car , but I assured the friendly man on the phone that come hell or high water my Mum would get in the car!. I was advised a 20 minute wait time but that a driver could potentially get to me sooner. I waited no longer than 5 minutes and a smartly dressed gentleman approached me to advise the Taxi was ready - it was a 16 seater minibus!! . I didn't get the driver's name but he was so professional and friendly and helped my Mum get both in and out of the vehicle .I was really impressed with the service we received and they were actually cheaper than the taxi we booked for the original journey. Well done Wetherby Private Hire - I will recommend you to all my friends.”
