The store staff were excellent but the after sales has been shocking, I was guaranteed Christmas delivery, but now we get told this wonβt be delivered till after Christmas now the customer service dont care and just say they will pass the message on, but never call us back. Even though I keep calling to find out but keep getting passed around AVOID!!!!

We visited the store to view the furniture with my family and had a very bad experience. Staff repeatedly told us we could not go to certain display areas because they were cleaning. They offered no information, no apologies, and no indication of when those areas would be available to browse. When we tried to ask questions, they gave us one-word answers and were completely unhelpful. The lack of a customer-welcoming attitude and poor communication made the visit frustrating. We left without viewing the items we came for and will never go there again. I do not recommend this store due to the poor customer service.

Can not fault the staff or the sofa from SCS! Our sofa arrived yesterday and it's even better than we remember in the store. Michael was a fantastic salesman he knew what he was talking about and was happy to answer all of our questions whilst giving us the time to explore all their sofas. Can not fault the service after we left and decided to change our minds about the colour. We were told 10-12 weeks waiting time and it arrived on the 11th week. All round great service even down to the delivery guys! Thankyou!

Hands down one of the worst sofas Iβve ever experienced let alone owned. Purchased over a year, within 3 months the seats started to sag. I did complain and SCS did organise technician to visit and assess cushion, shocked to learn all that was done, cushions removed and weighed to check if they are within the βlimitsβ of weight. If the manufacturers limits defined from the get go are completely wrong for durability / structure perforce, then this assessment of the cushion was always going to be useless step. Was told nothing can be done cushions are βfineβ even though all cushions lost its shape and sagged really badly making sofa uncomfortable. FYI We are only a family of 3, little one not even 1 so sofas hardly being over used, these issues were present within months of taking deliveryβ¦ Fair to say I WILL NEVER buy from SCS ever again nor recommend to any friends or family. Just to add insult to the wound, I have lost count on the number of times guests / family have made a comment on the cushions being uncomfortable due to them them sinking in, really brings embarrassment to have to explain our experience of SCS. Famous phrase really sums up my overall experience, you pay for what you get - should have known the low prices compared to competitors was for a reason. (Note price of sofa Β£2.5kβ¦.) Golden Advice, stay well clear of SCS and buy from better reviewed & well known competitor. Save yourself the disappointment. Update: Iβm looking to buy replacement foam inside the sofa bases and back paddings, but with the prices may be actually better to cut my loses and buy new sofa.

A heartless company who left me with no furniture for Christmas and not disabled persons freindly. I purchased a divan set from the Croydon branch on 18 November 2022. Was promised delivery within 10 days. Delivery was delayed until 10 December 2022. Waited from 8am till 8pm and did not receive delivery. Receive a call at approximately 9pm saying they would deliver at approximately 10pm. As a 61 year old disabled person living in a sheltered housing/assisted living complex, delivery is not permited at that time unless it is a medical emergency. The following day I received a call from the store manager (Louise) who accused me of refusing delivery, even though nobody came to my address and ruthlessly raged at me, not allowing me to get a word in edgeways. She arbitrarily decided that she was going to cancel the finance agreement set up with Ikano Bank and that was the end of the story according to her. I cannot afford legal representation so I am left without furniture and disheartened. A warning to other potential disabled persons looking to shop at this store. My phone automatically records all my conversations as I was a victim of a scam previously so I can back up this review. Beware of false promises made.

We bought a sofa and dining table for our new home with a positive instore experience at the Croydon branch. After 2-3 months of waiting for delivery, we finally received the items but upon the installation of the dining table by the guys who delivered, we encountered problems straight away and in the end, were advised to have the dining table replaced. The delivery driver said he had taken photos and reported this to customer care and they would get back to us within 24 hours.....no call! Ended up ringing customer care after the weekend to be told nothing had been reported of the fault. The person we were talking to had informed us they will put on record and get back to us with an update.....a week later, nothing!! During that time, I had personally gone into the store where we purchased it from, to speak to the sales manager asking for advice, which in the end, all he could do was send an email and wait to hear back within 24 hours......after waiting a couple of days, nothing from them. 4-5 weeks have gone by, we have had to chase this up with customer care and each time, they say nothing has been put on record even though my partner told them on the phone to put something on their system to get this sorted. We have tried to cancel the dining table set and to arrange a collection date but this still seems a hard task to do for customer care as they advised the cancelation and arrangement of collection is done by the store manager, in which they would contact. We finally got through to the store manager and she has advised she will keep us updated with the process and will cancel our purchase and arrange pick up of the dining table set. We've never had this much of a bad experience with any purchase in our lives and will not buy from SCS again. Absolutely diabolical from them, their "customer care" team need to learn how to do their job properly!

A kind staff that tries to trap you by telling me a price, and at the end the rules and the amount change completely, and if you try to change your order, because they allow you to do this within 7 days by sending them an email they pretend they didn't read it by letting this time pass, I felt lied to and tried to be stolen! I don't understand why only in this area of ββCroydon are the services of the shops like this, as it is not the only situation of this kind, be very careful or try to avoid this area!

Staff are great and helpful, especially Michael. Make you feel welcome with active happy kids (unlike other shops). He explained the 'rules' to the kids and gave them a high five. I didn't get stressed when kids were really excited when I was looking at some carpet and speaking to other staff. This is a really important part of customer service that always gets overlooked. Very friendly staff, great choice and good prices. Very transparent.

I Received : 1) foot rest had no legs 2) scuffs marks on the three seaters 3) Cuddler seat frame broken 4) the single sofa has wood chips in it! And the stitching was poorly manufactured 5. single seater frame broken 5) Plus I had to pay Β£150 for damaged sofas to be dismantled and put into the property. The manager from the Croydon store said that someone would be coming around to inspect the damage to sofas and write a full report so they could determine whether the sofa needed replacing or repairing. The inspector took a couple of hours to inspect everything The report came back with over 6 hours of repairs would be required, SCS after care called back and said that they would be replacing the whole sofa and I would receive after Christmas sometime and everything would arranged including the upholsterer, and we would not have to pay additionally for an upholsterer as we had already paid for this with the initial delivery. In February, I received a call from customer after care to say the sofas would be replaced in April. I then received an email saying these were delayed until May. When I then called up again they told me that I would receive it on May 15th. The night before 15th, I called Customer service to double check everything has been sorted out and they would be bringing an upholsterer to dismantle the damaged sofas that I had in my property that I was already paying for and bringing the new ones. I received a call from the delivery team on Saturday 15th to say there was no upholsterer and they wouldnβt be able to deliver the sofas. I tried to call the Croydon store for about 40 minutes with no reply. So I decided to set off from Epsom to Croydon to speak to the manager face to face. When I got there, the manager who had been dealing with my order, said he would sort this out with one message. On Monday 17th, I then received another call from the general manager to say I had to pay for the upholsterer again and they would repay back. I refused to pay any more money, as I do not see why I should be out of pocket when the original sofas were damaged, and after numerous phone calls, and wasted time, I am not confident that the monies would be reimbursed, especially as I am still waiting for a refund. I cannot believe that a large company such as SCS cannot employ an upholsterer to rectify a mistake on their part as the sofas arrived damaged, without requesting additional money from the customer? I am still waiting for this to be resolved - if you purchased a new car, would you pay full price for damaged goods? I am losing patience with the resolution of what should be a simple replacement of damaged goods. It has taken an unacceptable amount of time, miscommunication, 30-40 telephone calls and I am still nowhere near a resolution. If I do not get a satisfactory response imminently, I will be taking this further, I look forward to your response.
