My shopping experience deteriorated as soon as I got to the till, shop assistant did not acknowledge me and started to scan items but the screen to show how much the goods were did not show the prices and I had to ask the prices which annoyed her. Good job I did asthe price on one item was wrong, it had been labelled wrong and according to your supervisor I should have checked the tiny barcode before buying. Disgusting service and I will now think twice before going back to your shop. Are you deliberately hiding the prices so that customers don't know you are overcharging them.

Well what can I say. I took my 90 years young mother to your store in Valley Park Croydon and a wonderful assistant called Shelly was amazing. She took her time to help us out and go above and beyond for us. She managed to find all the bedding we needed and also ordered wallpaper and paint including free delivery too. Thank you so much from both myself and my mum. Keep up all.yhe wonderful work you do.

I had an awful experience at Dunelm today that has left me genuinely shocked and disappointed. While shopping with my 4-year-old child and husband, my little one suddenly became unwell and vomited in the lift and on the shop floor. It was an unfortunate situation and my husband immediately went to let a member of staff know. And as any parent would understand, I was already stressed and trying to comfort my child. What made things far worse was the reaction from the staff! Instead of offering help or reassurance, a staff member told me I needed to clean it up myself, and it was βnot in their job description.β I was stunned β this was a public place, in front of other customers and I expected at least some compassion and assistance, not to be handed responsibility for cleaning up a childβs sickness while my child was was recovering in restaurant queue awaiting some water and light snack. Whilst waiting in the queue i was approached by a manager and I was met with the same cold and dismissive attitude! I was asked " what's my problem" The manager showed no empathy whatsoever, offered no practical support, and seemed more concerned about the inconvenience than about helping a parent dealing with a child who was just sick. I was immediately threatened in regards to NOT being served any food or drink for MY SICK CHILD if I refused to clean up the sick. Absolutely disgusting attitude. I was left humiliated. Accidents happen - especially with young children and I would expect a FAMILY-FRIENDLY store like Dunelm to handle such situations with basic kindness and professionalism. Unfortunately, that was not the case here. As a end result I ended up cleaning up the sick in the lift on my knees with my bare hands and blue roll with ONE kind member of staff who was very understanding of the situation and assured us not to worry as this was not to made into a big deal. I truly hope Dunelm reviews its policies and provides proper training for staff and management on how to deal with these situations with empathy, care, and BASIC human decency. No parent or anyone for that matter should be treated this way.

I had an extremely uncomfortable encounter with staff at this location, where I was singled out and interrogated like a criminal for what their explanation was to stop potential crime. This obviously was because they saw a young blackman in their shop and felt there could be a potential crime, very unfortunate, unacceptable and demeaning. I was policed around by several staff but didnβt really make a big deal out of it until one white lady came to say βexcuse me, can I help youβ in a very suspicious way while a few shoppers started laughing. A few seconds later their βmanagerβ (Jarreth) came to introduce himself saying heβs been alerted to come over because there could be a potential crime activity to be carried out. Very sad. I only went in for a click and collect and also look to see if I could find a few other things to buy. Say NO to racism. Whether subtle or otherwise. They spoiled my Sunday morning and mood.

Always a lovely time entering this store. I can find everything I need, if not there is always a member of staff in a department near by ready to assist. Dunelm have a range of lovely items to chose from. Customer toilets are accessible and clean.

One stop place for your home furnishings and decor! I love their teddy onesies! So warm! There arenβt many net curtains shop around but Dunelm has some good choices! Also their rediffusers are very nice! Love their Moroccan cinnamon candles. Lots of cute Christmas gifts they have. They also have a little cafe. Itβs within the Valley park retails so parking is not an issue.

Huge household shop in the area, that provides lots of household products, kitchenware etc. The choices are somehow more than IKEA, with better quality.

I have been a long time fan off Dunelm. Visited this Purley Way store yesterday and found it has a completely new layout. Curtains, furniture and lighting upstairs, and all the decor and kitchen items are now downstairs. I like it! Lots of new things in store for Easter. They also do a really nice array of artificial flowers, in particular white tulips for Β£7 per bunch. There were more staff on the shop floor than usual and found them to be very friendly and helpful. If you have young ones, I spotted some Batman bedding etc., which I am sure will be popular. For any newbies to this Dunelm, they have toilets and a cafeteria upstairs. A lift is provided if you can't manage the stairs, very useful for mums/dads and their prams.
