I recently visited IKEA Croydon and was pleasantly surprised that dogs are welcome in the store. My dog, Shadow, was allowed to walk with me, which made the visit much easier and more enjoyable. During our visit, I did notice a concerning level of behaviour among some children in the showroom areas. Many were jumping on beds and chairs or throwing toys around, which created a chaotic atmosphere and made it difficult to browse comfortably. Several customers even remarked that Shadow was far better behaved than the children, which says a lot about the environment. On a positive note, Shadow met a lovely lady dressed in a traditional Swedish Christmas outfit, which added a festive and cultural touch to the visit. It was a charming detail that reflected IKEA’s heritage and made the experience feel special. Overall, I appreciated the dog-friendly policy and the festive atmosphere, but I would encourage IKEA Croydon to ensure the showroom remains a safe and calm space for all customers.

Had a great experience in the store in choosing and being advised in Croydon store on purchasing new large self assembly wardrobes as a special surprise present for our disabled daughter. Specifically choose in stock products and paid extra £35 for specific Monday delivery date and am . This would allow us to move all clothes and dismantle old ikea wardrobes over the weekend ready for Monday am. On the Sunday pm advised by text that delivery had been moved to Monday pm ( 2-7 pm ) . Not too bad and as the job was a two person job we rung around on Monday. At 2 .15 pm Monday we received a joyful happy text to say delivery would be Wednesday am 9am to 2pm . No explanation, no apology. Everyone went home leaving our daughters bungalow in disarray. Tears all round. On the Wednesday am , after being promised a text / phone call prior to delivery. I went out to get some shopping to find on my return the packages had been delivered at about 10am. No call or text. To add insult to injury of the six large packs delivered two had been previously opened or dropped and obviously re sealed with masking tape . When opened one large essential part had been damaged but due to the urgency and people required for assembly we just carried on and assembled the large wardrobes. Due to cost , delivery fiasco , time wasted over the various days and assembly it would probably have been more cost effective to buy fro local suppliers with local delivery. Photos available

IKEA OUTLET AT ITS VERY BEST: We recently visited the IKEA store on Purley Way in Croydon. This was my second visit to this impressive outlet. The store, typical of IKEA, is spacious, well laid out, and easy to navigate with the familiar IKEA showroom style. We enjoyed walking through the different room setups and we realise that each display was carefully organized and we could clearly see how different pieces might work together in a practical and stylish way. The product range was impressive, with a great variety of furniture and home accessories at affordable prices. We especially liked the selection of storage solutions, which were both clever and functional. Staff were friendly and approachable throughout the store, ready to help when we had questions about stock availability and delivery options. The restaurant was another highlight, offering tasty and reasonably priced meals — we couldn’t resist the classic vegetarian balls. The store also felt clean and well maintained, and there were plenty of trolleys and bags available to make shopping easier. Overall, IKEA Croydon is a convenient and inspiring place to shop, with excellent products, good service, and a welcoming atmosphere. We look forward to returning to this place soon...not sure as to when this will be.

Dear IKEA Customer Service, I am writing regarding my replacement order (Ref: 49803877). Unfortunately, I am very disappointed with the quality of both the service and the replacement part I received for my shoe storage unit. It took multiple phone calls to arrange the replacement, and I received no updates throughout the process. The replacement finally arrived today—over a week and a half after my initial request—but the packaging was extremely poor. The part was wrapped only in brown paper, which was torn in several places on arrival. After opening the package, I discovered that the replacement part itself was damaged in at least 3–4 areas (please see attached photos). Given the repeated issues, I kindly request to be contacted by a senior manager to arrange a proper replacement, with suitable protective packaging to ensure the part arrives undamaged this time. I appreciate your urgent attention to this matter and look forward to a swift resolution. Kind regards, Tom

Great furniture store and cafe. We had to return some furniture as we ordered the wrong item our mistake. The return process was easy you just enter a code then go to a till 40 seconds and it was all done. We then headed upstairs to try the cafe, it was breakfast time so that's what we had I tried the £2.99 vegetarian breakfast it was delicious the coffee tasted good also. For the price and quality it without a doubt its a great breakfast stop. Someone on the reviews said on their visit the cafe was dirty, on my visit I found the cafe area spotless and fresh throughout. My appreciation to the cleaning staff thanks. After that we headed through the store again I really enjoyed it I found no faults whatsoever. Disabled access is brilliant throughout. My only concern was all the staff we encountered were very unhappy and non engaging without any exceptions such a shame, perhaps its not a good place to work maybe.

Apart from problems with navigating my way around store and locating the short cuts, this store has a large quantity of any goods you want. Apart from popular items which sell out quickly but take weeks to restock! Nice seasonal sections and quirky instagrammable spots located in different departments.

Good place for home shopping. Went for wardrobe designing idea and the lady who helped us was wonderful and too good with her work and professional. You can get more professional help in designing in kitchen in kitchen area. Ask someone to guide to the correct location.

IKEA store arranged over 2 floors with everything you come to expect. Even at busy lunch times there always seem to be somewhere to sit and the tables are cleaning very carefully between each guest. Somehow they have managed to keep the price of food reasonable despite inflation in Summer of 2022. The toilets are well maintained and the staff very helpful. Overall a first rate experience.

So many examples of how the various pieces can go together to make a ‘home’. For those who struggle to imagine it in real life, it’s invaluable. If you know what you want & can imagine it, then you can skip straight to marketplace. Escape rooms are becoming popular (but expensive). IKEA is a free escape room. There may be people in there who have been walking around in circles for a few weeks. It’s all part of the experience. The cashiers were lovely and really helpful with my lack of hands. I docked a star because it’s too easy to buy stuff you didn’t come for. It’s too well presented, looks beautiful and is too tempting to spend. Living in London, in a small space it’s one of the only furniture shops that gives furniture for small, multi-function rooms. You can (unofficially) take a trolley to the tram, then easily change to get very close to home. Or a cab (pretty cheap). It’s good to know I can get home with just less than I can carry for £1:50. Desk, chair, rug, cushions and boxes. And I’m 5ft3 & not strong.
