Not happy. I waited for a driver to look at some furniture I wanted to donate to the charity and he didn't even glance at it saying we don't take stuff from second floor flats with no lift. I'd explained to the adviser it was 2 flights of stairs. The driver also said we've got too much furniture in store anyway. So why did they bother to book me a slot? It was a complete waste of time. I won't be contacting Emmaus again.

The driver refused to collect the long sofa, stating it was too large. However, this was not communicated at the time of booking. The customer service executive only mentioned that the sofa must meet fire safety and quality standards—nothing was said about size restrictions. If there are such limitations, the driver’s right to cancel based on item size should be clearly communicated by the customer service team during the booking process to avoid inconvenience.

Staff especially manager Jay we're so helpful. Pricing is definitely a mix. Some products are a bit pricier but it's more high quality vintage stuff from plan etc and they still have great mid range furniture for good prices. I saw sofas for £65. Lots of family games and kids books too (very overlooked section). I found a table out the back that was broken that I wanted to upcycle. He measured and found me tools to disassemble and get it in my car. So friendly.

I love this place. I bought a round table that folds with 4 chairs, a chair table combination and a coffee table all for £60. The staff here go above and beyond, helping to load your car and chat away with you too. For the people saying that stuff is sold to auctions- you don't look hard enough! Photos of my furniture in the shop and now styled at home :) Thanks guys.

Interesting place to explore and find some bargains or pieces of furniture to upcycle.

It's like a little treasure island. You can grab some amazing bargains here, and all the staff seem very friendly and happy to help. Looking forward to my next visit already.

Waited 8 days for these clowns to turn up. Took a very brief look at some perfectly good used furniture and walked away. The breath taking arrogance of these people is staggering....they are clearly trying to move their business upmarket and are only accepting items thats are virtually brand new. I've since visited their shop and cannot believe the ludicrously high prices being asked .......Clearly Emmaus is not interested in helping the neediest, most vulnerable people in society. I suspect this "charity" is being run mainly to provide high paying jobs for the boys.....clearly someone here knows how to milk the Charity Commision.....
