Best shop in the world (probably) Moses is a legend. So good to see places like this surviving on the high street, this shop has graced Herne Hill for as long as I can remember and I always try to pick something up when passing through. Fantastic stock, fair prices ..... indulge yourself, before it's too late.
a really lovely furniture shop, i remember walking past it when i was a little girl and it was on the corner of herne hill opposite this french cafe i loved that had amazing hot chocolate that doesn’t exist anymore. i was happy to see this shop was down the street now. really nice things i really wanted this lucite box and saw some wonderful chairs.
Zero for customer service - AVOID Purchased a table from this company on their eBay shop. I sent an offer which the seller accepted, took payment then decided to cancel my purchase at 11.00pm that evening. No communication, no courtesy of an explanation, nothing. This wouldn't have been such an issue if I hadn't purchased a matching credenda unit. I'm honest in my dealings and honour my obligations, shame this seller doesn't share the same level of integrity. UPDATE - The Seller has now confirmed that he did sell the item I had purchased to a higher bidder after the deal with me was completed. This is a deceitful act and one which is in breach of contract.
The owner was so helpful in helping me choose the perfect piece of furniture for my new house!
When I visited the shop, I fell in love with all the unique furniture they had and the owner is such a delight to talk with!
I think that the owner and his shop is an English treasure...compelling, interesting, beautiful objects given meaning...
