A HUGE Thank You to Gaj and Michael for helping me pick out my sofa, for John giving logistical and shopping advice, and for Stefan and Piers who delivered with exceptional customer service. I will always come back to British Heart Foundation Lewisham for my furniture needs because they always have quality items and hidden gems and the money is also the proceeds are for a very good cause. Thank you again and I can’t wait to find more goodies in your store!

Embarrassing experience. The drivers came 30 min ago! They were very rude, especially the one with dark hair. Came in my house without even say a word no even Hi. The driver with a dark hair was looking at our stuff and my partner with a very superior attitude. My sofa was in amazing condition worth 1000£. They refused to take it with very silly excuses, same for table and an armchair. The sofa could be easily resold at 400£ but apparently this charity doesn’t care on helping people but try to sell the most glamorous item? The drivers were lazy and annoyed to do their job. They didn’t take for the only reason they were to lazy to carry downstairs. All our forniture was perfectly dissembled, packed with their own screws attached. They only had to pick up, nothing also to do. It’s a shame, I decided to give away to a charity for a reason, as I gave all my stuff to different charities and now what you refuse to take need to go to the bin. Shame on you and your unprofessional drivers. I can only see now a lot of complaints about your service and its a shame that this come from a charity. You should review your priorities and staff as they are embarrassing. I will suggest to every to NEVER use this service and that this charity is useless. I regret myself for not using a different charity.

Disappointed in this company. Donated a treadmill and sofa and at the last minute collectors said sofa may not be good enough and they'd get back to me. 3 days later no news but they gladly took the treadmill. I'm not bothered if they want it or not its the principle. You live and you learn. 1 star only because the collectors were friendly

This is my first Google review and I’m taking a minute to write it because there are so many mixed reviews about the British Heart Foundation (especially Furniture) that I had to share my experience. I bought a beautiful antique chest of drawers for £40 on my very first visit three days ago, paid an extra £25 to have it delivered to my house two days later, and then started freaking out that something was going to go wrong as I went to read the online reviews! Nearly cancelled my order as a result, but thankfully I didn’t because now I have the perfect chest of drawers that I was looking for! I received a phone call 20mins prior to the delivery as advised, then two men showed up and brought the piece of furniture all the way inside my house, which is on the second floor without lift (and a very awkward staircase) and I was worried that they would leave me to do it after reading the plethora of negative reviews, but they didn’t! in fact they were both friendly and professional, and my first experience with the BHF as a customer was a success! I will be back for sure! Thank you thank you thank you.

I booked furniture collection, they supposed to come Thursday 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. They didn’t come, without any notice. When I tried to call them nobody take the phone. BHF customer service send them e-mail behalf of us, still no respond. Absolutely ridiculous.

Wow volunteers are very friendly and for a boxful of small items they give you a very good deal. I got plates, bowls and glasses for small ones and coffee table, tv stand for big ones.

First of all, the delivery drivers are very much useless and want you to do all the hard labour. They didn’t attempt to even try move out my wardrobe as the space was too “tight”. I had to remove it myself. When I called to complain they told me I had to reschedule even though I wasn’t at fault. The manager didn’t even listen to me as he was constantly talking over me and he kept repeatedly saying well if my drivers said it was unsafe it was unsafe, when that was not the reasoning they gave me. If I could rate this a zero I very much would. It just makes me not to donate to this company again. If I were you I’d suggest other charities such as Emmaus they are so lovely over there. -2/10 wouldn’t recommend the British Heart Foundation.

I loved this place I’ve checked out about 20 second hand furniture stores across south london and this was BY FAR the friendliest and most helpful of all the stores I got some great second hand furniture! Would definitely recommend!

Usually the staff are very nice and helpful, this afternoon I brought some items into the shop. The young assistant demanded to know what was in the bag. I told her it was electrical items, and new sofa feet. She clearly didn't believe me and said that they didn't take clothes. I always specifically go to this shop with household and electrical items. I opened the bag and showed her. Her customer service skills seriously need a review.
