   I was attending a wedding in a village just outside skipton and stayed at the SkiptonnTravelodge. I got a taxi out to the venue and at the same time booked a return taxi. The taxi did not show up. I was outside the village hall at the booked time. Was told that because I didn’t answer my phone it had not picked me up. I had no missed calls. A minute after this conversation I did get a text like earlier to say my taxi had been dispatched, but it was 20 minutes away. Oddly enough I did not have any previous texts other than my outbound taxi. If someone books a taxi you should despatch one at the correct time.

   I had broken down on the A65 in Gargrave with my 2 kids and a taxi pulled up and asked if I was OK, I told him I was on my way to Bentham, the driver said no problem will drop you off at home, and when he did I asked how much was the taxi he said I'm not charging you as this was on route to where he was going. I can't thank the driver enough, he was called Waz. I would definitely use Star Taxis again

   Visiting the area for a wedding I stumbled across a Star Taxi driver who agreed to take me on the seven minute drive to Hebden from Burnsall. He went a ridiculously long route one not even considered on Google maps and then tried to charge £20 when all other firms charge half this price. This concept of trying to fleece people has to be a thing of the past.

   We booked a taxi 12 hours in advance. They didn't turn up. We called them and they tried to charge us a premium rate because 'we hadn't booked'. Dodgey firm. Rip people off. Pick somebody else. I can prove the phone call for the early booking if anyone has any doubts.

   Really rude driver who was late to pick us up, then accused us of missing a previous driver, who he said had arrived at 8.30 and waited 10 minutes before leaving (hotel reception had booked for 8.35 and we had been outside at... 8.35). Then proceeded to have a go at us for the entire journey. I mean it's a £4 fare. I would have paid triple that for him just to stop going on about it. Will not use again and have passed this on to my colleagues who visit regularly, so you've lost our business. Nice one.
