Had a friends birthday lunch today and had excellent food and impeccable service at meat club. The steaks were perfect (all halal, no alcohol) and tiramisu was absolutely fantastic. Vivek our server was excellent-kind and knowledgeable and super helpful. Ambience was fantastic, location has access to plenty of parking spaces-need I say more? Will definitely visit again!

I was really looking forward to trying Meatclub, especially after coming a long way, but unfortunately my experience was very disappointing. I ordered the prime steak sandwich, which on the menu was described as having mushrooms, mayo, and mozzarella. There was no mention of any BBQ-style sauce. When the food finally arrived—after about 35 minutesfor just a sandwich and chips—the sauce on the sandwich was so overpowering that I couldn’t eat more than two bites. I raised this politely with the waiter, who asked if I wanted something else instead. I asked for a mac and cheese so I wouldn’t leave hungry. A few minutes later, she returned saying that the chef insisted the sandwich was “made correctly” and that I would still have to pay full price, even for a meal I couldn't eat and that did not match its description. The waiter mentioned a 10% discount, but honestly, that felt dismissive given the situation. What shocked me most was the attitude- the chef, who is not a manager, refused to acknowledge the issue or offer a reasonable solution. This was not just about taste; it was about inaccurate menu information and poor handling of customer feedback. Sadly, this experience has definitely put me off returning. I hope the management takes this seriously, because customers deserve transparency, respect, and better service.

Amazing experience, 5* service and attention to detail. Highly recommend. Very high quality tasty food and the hospitality is outstanding. We went with kids and even then they were very accommodating and super with children. Really good menu with ample to fit all needs and tastes. Definitely will be going back regularly.

Good place to have a steak and get an excellent service and nice atmosphere. Food was good. Could do with warm plates while serving. Would definitely keep on my list to go again. Bonus you don't have to pay for parking when you dine in.

We booked the afternoon tea which came with a range of meat and savoury items, scones with clotted cream and jam as well as cakes and desserts. You also get a choice of one hot drink each. There are some optional paid extras to choose from and you can order from the main menu. The seating and decor is first class, a very warm, spacious and friendly setting in a lovely location. The staff are all very polite and welcoming. The service was excellent, we were the only diners at the time so our waiter (Asim) gave us his full attention and we really appreciated his help. They have a small prayer space which is nice and clean and made sure we could enjoy our meal without worrying about finding somewhere for salah. Meat Club validates your parking, just enter your details on the screen when you arrive to get 90 minutes free. Food review: It was good to experience a halal afternoon tea and Meat Club have generally done a good job. I would definitely recommend it. Great: Mac & cheese croquettes, beef patty sliders Good: Smoked salmon bruschetta, Scones w/clotted cream & jam, Earl Grey tea, all desserts Needs improvement: Cheese & onion sandwich The quantity is just about okay and it was enough for us but big eaters may feel they want more. The one hot drink each is enough but it would have been nice in a pot so that it didn't get cold as the meal went on. We ordered a cold drink each which wasn't included. All in all, we really enjoyed the experience and are looking forward to trying the main menu soon.

Restaurant is decorated beautifully. You could not tell it was on a main road. We went in the afternoon, so not much crowd. The service was amazing. Food tasted really good. We ordered 2 Sunday roast. It was freshly prepared. The chicken was falling off the bone.

Travelled from Manchester for our anniversary. We ordered Mocktails and asked the waitress for her recommendations, which didn't disappoint. For starters we had the: Seasonal Mushrooms & Sourdough Toast - this was absolutely sensational, a must have starter! Firecracker Prawns - Unfortunately this was very disappointing. It was very dry for my liking, 3 battered prawns and cubed mango with salad just didn't cut it, especially for the price either. It needed a sauce or something to elevate it. For the mains we had the Porterhouse, with a choice of two sides and two sauces for £94. The steak was cooked to perfection. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Only thing i was slightly disappointed with was the sides - mash was dry and we felt the portion size for the sides only, was poor. Especially, when it said share between 2-3 people. Only two of us and it wasn't enough (or maybe we are just overeaters). Overall meal was good and do recommend the Meat Club! For anyone not from the area, parking is a major issue and may need to park streets away to park.

Unfortunately, I had a disappointing experience at Meat Club earlier today (29/01). I arrived at 17:30 as per my booked time, the decor was nice and the staff were friendly. We were shown to our table and were offered menus, shortly after placing our order however, we were asked to move table to accommodate a larger group (bear in mind this was early evening and the restaurant was very quiet). The starters and drinks came very quickly, and I must say I was very impressed with the starters. The mushrooms on toast was amazing, the lamb chops were tasty (if not a bit rarer than we'd hoped, but enjoyable nonetheless) and my brother enjoyed the prawns which came with a tangy sauce. We were really enjoying our food at this point and positively excited for the main course. Out comes the main and things started to turn, my medium-rare fillet was much closer to rare and quite cold (much cooler than a rare steak usually is), my brother's medium-well flat iron steak was quite overdone and had a very strong, charred flavour (picture attached). My mother's medium ribeye was cooked similar to the latter and neither were able to finish their steak. We had a brief discussion with the waitress and later manager who assured us the charred flavourings were normal, and that some steaks are over/underdone due to inconsistencies in the thicknesses of steaks. In fairness to the manager, we were offered a discount on the bill, and three small chocolates. Shortly after this time, I did overhear a conversation on the neighbouring table, who were having similar issues with their food (cold main dishes). Soon enough, the bill came out at full price and I had to mention it to the waiting staff (rather embarrassing thing to have to do) before 10% was taken off the bill. All this, for a bill that ended just shy of £140 for 3 people (excluding drinks) has left me frustrated with my experience.

Underwhelming. Great spot and great decor. But it is a restaurant and you can't escape that. The mushroom balsamic on sourdough just didn't work for my friend. He ate it all, and I had a bite, but it's a poor starter. It was too hearty and a bit sweet. The mains were equally disappointing, all except the chips. The presentation was great but the pulled chicken was tough and even a little charred. The most disappointing thing was the brownies. The dessert was more like a hard concrete cake than a brownie. The cream and ice cream just didn't go well together. Each of the brownies was around 7£, and the total bill was around £25 per head. Needless to say it was overpriced for what it was--the food just didn't cut it for me on this occasion.

We visited as a group of 4 on a Tuesday evening and the restaurant was fairly empty on arrival. The decor was very nice but we felt that the tables were quite inconveniently positioned against the wall which didn't make for a pleasant dining experience. We were seated swiftly and as the restaurant got busier, we were greeted with a rush of cold wind everytime more diners arrived. We ordered our drinks, starters and mains at the same time however they all arrived sporadically throughout the evening. The waitresses seemed extremely inexperienced and didn't seem to have a clue what they were doing, which is not the level of service you would expect from a 'premium luxury steakhouse'. The appetisers were the highlight of the evening - the spring lamb chops were very tender and packed with flavour. The filet mignon steaks we ordered (cooked medium) for our mains should have been the highlight but unfortunately did not live up to the expectations considering the price. The steak was cold in the centre and not at all flavoursome. Overall decent place, but considering the price it falls short of what you would expect from a high end or premium restaurant as advertised on the establishment's website.
