Unsuitable quote did not meet the requirements of the content of my home. Turned up with a lorry not suitable too small. Not enough packing materials Staff just left quoting to the MD that we had insurance so not to worry. I had to pack my car with items they left and dispose of clothing I could not fit in. £7300 of damage as packing not sufficient to protect goods. Response from MD, it was industry standard, obviously not. Atlantis resisted every attempt to resolve, no satisfactory customer support. No timely responses without prompting. Argued on every item. Caused damage to my gates and neighbours wall with their delivery lorry, denied all knowledge even the sub-contractors crew who we tipped handsomely. Not surprised though as both staff told us what a horrible company it was to work for. In fear of losing their jobs. 22 months 10 days from start to finally agreeing a settlement. I felt I had been bullied into the final agreement with statement like ‘final offer’. The MD suitably forgot he caused all the damage and issues. Additionally broke the law see following statement from the MD. we will also raise a low value Invoice of €25 for customs value. We have checked the HS Code on this HS 9403 4412 3900 & no duty is payable on this commodity so there will only be a nominal figure if any to pay for Vat. TAX fraud. It was a very stressful situation, especially with the damage to my property and the lack of support from the company. They get 1 because there is nowhere to give a negative return.
This company moved my goods from container to storage facility I was present for 60% of storage in the unit. We had further items delivered by another company and the remaining 40% had been just dumped in the unit despite John at Atlantis knowing I had additional items arriving. Fortunately the other company Safepac offered to reorganise for me. John couldn't spare time for a month, wanted photos ( which i sent) and has ignored my emails to reimburse me for the 40 pound tip I gave the other company's guys, despite the issue being being entirely his company's fault . If you use them I'd suggest you watch them like a hawk and don't encounter any issues because John just isn't interested
John Higgins and his crew at Atlantis Forwarding Ltd were OUTSTANDING. They took the stress out of an international move from the UK to the US. They packed our belongings, loaded the container and got it delivered in six weeks for what I thought would take longer. Shipping lines are unpredictable but they were so good to work with and well worth the money.
Moved from UK to NZ last yr. Never use this Company. Paid more than agreed/quotation. All breakables were supposed to be crated, nothing had more an one layer of bubble wrap. We were told not to pack any breakable as they knew what they were doing, what a joke. Over £6000.00 worth of damage. When container was finally opened, it was a disgrace. Customs probably took 1 look and said no way closed the doors again. Photo attached. I would have to say nearly 70% of our items were damage one way or another. Our fault we didn’t get insurance, we didn’t decline it as we were told, it was never discussed, but if they had packed our stuff as quoted we wouldn’t have lost out. As contract was all done via emails, no signature so can’t be done for breach of contract unless you got thousands of pounds to take them to court in the UK. BE VERY AWARE, No care taken as all.
I have moved overseas a few times, and this company is the worst. The packing was absolutely appalling, we ended up paying more than we wanted, only to find some of the boxes were half empty, heavy things were put in the same boxes as glass wear. The office guy had a attitude problem, ignored emails. Considering we were paying customers we were treated like they were doing us a free removal. they removed items from the container and didn't tell us. Even the company who delivered our items at our new address commented on the packing, saying they would have been sacked packing items as bad as this, I would rather sell my entire house contents than let this company handle them again. I could go on.
Used this company on 3 occasions. Each occasion somewhere down the line my freight gets badly damaged. Their response is 'Nothing to do with us' somebody else's fault. So far £1500 worth of damage has accumulated getting freight from A to B and they wash their hands of any responsibility. In my opinion, if I pay a company to get my belongings from A to B, then as soon as it leaves my property it is THEIR responsibility for it to arrive at the other end in the same condition it departed in. Complete lack of quality control and poor attitude in dealing with complaints. Use this companies services at your own risk.
