A good selection on the menu, though prices are a bit on the deer side. It is probably best to book a table in advance, though I visited in midweek, and availability was not an issue. The service was very good, though the poor chap did have to apologise for the drinks taking so long to arrive.

Absolutely disgraceful.. from start to finish. We arrived 5 minutes early to be told our table wasn't ready however we were the only ones in the restaurant. Waited 15 minutes in the bar before being seated. The bar area and restaurant were filthy, ripped leather seats, ripped turned up carpets, food splashed up the walls, sticky tables, damp on the ceiling, rubbish all left out the front entrance including dirty bottles, glasses, cigarettes and sauce wrappers. Large parts of paint missing from the walls, dirty cutlery and glasses. We ordered 3 roast dinners which took 30 minutes to arrive and when they did the waiter had all three plates on one arm causing all 3 to spill gravy over the edges of the plates and down his arm. The veg was cold and raw, the meat was barely warm, the gravy had a layer of orange oil on top and it had separated on the plate. We ordered a side of pigs in blankets which consisted of 3 small sausages which again, were cold and with grease in the bottom of the bowl. We asked to speak to a waiter stating our concerns and the manager simply took the plates away without an apology. The waiter came back over and apologised for the food stating he thought it didn't look right when he brought it to us at the table. Stated he was sorry for the way in which the manager had dealt with us and that he is not from that restaurant and is from another area. The whole experience was shocking and I'm surprised the restaurant is even still open with such service and such a poorly looked after restaurant.

We were staying nearby so decided to try here. Not been to a beefeater in years. We felt the main courses were expensive and pretty dull. So decided to mix it up and get 4 starters to share plus a side. It was a very large portion but overall good. Puddings were tasty too and great cocktails. Generally OK if you think outside the box about what to order. Our waitress was lovely too!

Christmas dinner was tasty & well presented. The pub was warm, with comfortable seating & the staff were friendly & obliging. The meal was very competitively priced for on Christmas Day & made for an enjoyable treat out. My one criticism was not enough gravy on the dinner, but that is a minor point!

Service was ok apart from being out of what I ordered as a main, which the waitress forgot when she took my order. Switched fish for steak, which was cooked nicely and well presented but the triple cooked chips were lacking no crisp outer and same toughness throughout, just regular chips. Sticky toffee pudding came out luke warm with luke warm lumpy custard. None of it was a displeasure to eat, just wasnt anything special to justify paying to eat out, wouldnt be in a hurry to return sadly.

Far exceeded my expectations for this kind of breakfast. The food is not gourmet but it is good quality, comes out fast, is still hot when it arrives and the service is great. Very well organised, friendly and efficient. The restaurant itself was kept very clean and the staff could be seen cleaning throughout the breakfast service. A good way to start the day.

21 quid for a tepid steak and no salad or even garnish. Terrible. Just appalling. Kids meals were better value and service not too bad. Not planning on returning. Ever. Bonus fact: the toilets are an absolute disgrace.

Never been to a Beefeater but received a discount voucher so thought we'd try it. I wasn't expecting much so was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. All three steaks cooked to perfection, loved the blue cheese sauce and the beer battered onion rings, which were also cooked perfectly. The peanut butter sundae was divine. Will definitely be back.

Easy to find and park at, though the car park is pay and display, and you have to claim the cost back from the hotel or restaurant. Seated quickly and comfortably, with pleasant staff. Drinks arrived quickly, as did the food, which was hot, tasty and good value for money. Facilities were clean and tidy, and there was very good disabled access. The only thing not great about the visit was the temperature of the restaurant, which was quite chilly, forcing both of us to put jackets on.
