   I have been renovating my entire house and dealing with a number of different companies throughout the process. I’ve had smooth, professional experiences everywhere except with Howdens – specifically the Croydon branch, where I dealt with Charmaine. My experience has been terrible from start to finish. The communication was consistently poor, and I have never come across customer service this bad. We were given incorrect measurements for some of the shelves, and every time we visited the branch to resolve the issue, no one seemed informed about anything. The standard answer to every question was essentially, “We don’t know.” After endless back and forth, we finally received the correct replacement shelves. But as soon as that was resolved, another problem appeared – the strip lights that were meant to go under the shelves arrived missing all the necessary parts. I contacted them again and was told the missing parts would be delivered on Saturday. Of course, Saturday came and went with no delivery, and once again the branch had no idea what was going on. We eventually had to go down to the store yet again to sort it out ourselves. Throughout all of this, the plans that were originally done by Charmaine turned out to be incorrect, and when we went in to try to resolve the issues today, she wouldn’t even come down to speak with us. Overall, the service has been absolutely appalling. This has been the only company to cause problems during my entire renovation. Avoid this branch at all costs.

   We had our kitchen designed with Will at Howdens Croydon. Since the beginning he was really attentive and was happy to make changes as well as guide us through the whole process. The kitchen has now been installed and I couldn’t be happier. Thank you!

   After visiting other kitchen suppliers (and another Howdens branch), we were so pleased that we were recommended Howdens Croydon. Our kitchen designer John was incredibly helpful and came up with some innovative suggestions for the design. We felt supported all the way and couldn’t be happier with the result.

   Appalling service, no one approaches you unless you look like a builder, or are their regular clients. I went to Brixton branch instead to place my order. they were amazing! very friendly and incredibly helpful. this place is only good for 'looking at potential products'

   Appalling service all round!! Couldn't ever speak to the designer on the phone instead you have to e-mail her and the receptionists were useless as they never passed the messages onto the designer and they could never access the designs. The concept of customer service is lost on them

   Had a very long wait close to closing time as there was only one person at the till with multiple other people working at the computers. When we finally got served we had the details of our builder, firstly the details couldn't be found, eventually they were found. But then the server said they needed to call the builder, which they did, but the builder couldn't answer the phone. And because of this we weren't served after wasting our time waiting. In the end we had to rush over to Howdens Penge, with multiple people ready to serve us upon arrival. We were able to make the order over the phone as the branch was going to close soon. No drama with calling the builder etc, we just gave the name of the company and bought the door we wanted. The whole experience was unnecessarily stressful, Howdens Croydon needs to take a note from Howdens Penge! 5 stars to Penge 1 star to this branch...
