   From the first time I met Jake Mitchell at the Sheffield office he instantly but my mind at ease and set to work on both my cases straight away. I had a few issues that needed dealing with straight away, but they were picked up by Jake and his team and dealt with swiftly. He always has my best interests at the forefront of any advice he gives me and how he approaches each task he has to do. Without Jake I feel would be lost, his no-nonsense approach is exactly what I need and he personable approach to everything. I know I am not his only client, but he makes you feel like you are his only one. I still have a long way to go but I have no doubt that Jake will get me there. Mentally with what you have to go through in family cases is hard and Jake always seems to know just the right thing to say when things are hard going. Further feedback after cases ended 05/05/2025 My cases have both just finished after 20+ months and I can honestly say I could not have done it on my own. Jake is an absolute credit to his profession and company he has always gone out of his way to give me the advice I needed to hear even if it wasn’t what I wanted to hear. He has a great rapport and sense of humour to boot which when your going through family court is a great help to lighten the mood. The team behind Jake was always there when I needed them when he couldn’t help either due to having a holiday or been in court. But he would always follow up with me as soon as he was able to. I cannot thank him enough the emotional stress and financial pressure the whole family court process puts on people is hard, but Jake always has at the forefront of his mind. I cannot thank Jake and his team enough for the support and willingness to go the extra mile over the last 20+ months.

   I was charged for letters of advice i didn't request which contained multiple errors. They advised they would be increasing their fees two weeks after being appointed and then charged me over £1,300 for a solicitor to issue two letters and make a chasing phone call. Very immoral way to conduct business and caused me further upset midway through my divorce, would not recommend.

   Maria Coster helped me through one of the most challenging times in my life. I was able to meet with her pre-covid and found her so empathetic and kind. I am so appreciative of her caring nature and support, as this is not something I ever expected to have to do. She clearly explained what would be involved in going through a divorce and outlined approximate costs upfront. I had very little understanding of the divorce process, Maria took the time to go through all the things that would need to be done as part of the process and explained other legal work I might require, explaining exactly why it might be needed and rough costs. She also provided recommendations for services that Stowe Family Law couldn't provide, such as will writing and conveyancing solicitors. I ended up using Maria for my divorce, financial order and severing of tenancy. This has allowed me to have a clean break and has protected me from any future financial claims. I cannot commend Stowe Family Law enough, they kept me up to date with progress of my divorce, made it clear what was required of me and kept me up to date with costs throughout the whole process and with the added challenge of covid-19. They adapted quickly to remote working and I did not feel impacted by this at all. Thank you for all your help and advice. I would definitely recommend them to anyone requiring family law services. Other law firms I approached were cold and uncaring.
