I rang several times & after 2 rings my call was disconnected. I managed to get an answer after midnight & asked for a wheelchair accessible taxi. Whoever answered said they were fully booked & promptly hung up! Not impressed. Won't be using or recommending.
Booking was easy via app, had a call from A1 as I'd added a note to gain some clarification which was useful. Driver arrived promptly, was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend
As previous reviews have mentioned, A1's accessibility is appalling and they don't allow for you to book more than 24 hours if as a wheelchair user. They reluctantly booked us one in after arguing for close to 10 mins, but insisted that they couldn't guarantee us one, bare in mind we tried to give FIVE days notice. Absolutely bloody awful. We've ended up cancelling, and using Door To Door instead as they were absolutely fine with us prebooking. IF YOU HAVE A WHEELCHAIR, DON'T USE A1
Called this company to try and book a black cab style taxi to be able to get our dog in as he can't get in a normal taxi and was told over the phone they don't have black taxis even tho every photo on their website shows a black taxi. The person on the other end if the phone was rude and just kept saying no , no, no. Load of rubbish in my opinion.
I used A1 for an early morning trip to Manchester airport. The driver arrived on time, the car was immaculate and the driver very professional. He also collected me on my return and made pick up easy. I'll definitely use again.
They provide very good service. The driver was very friendly and polite. They help me a lot. I booked a taxi to Manchester airport to pick one of my friend and the flight was delayed two times and i had to change the timings for taxi booking twice and they changed the pickup timings for me without any issues. Truly they provide very good services.
Phoned for a taxi from Sheffield Premier inn to the city hall. Told no taxis available. Go outside and there's an A1 Sheffield Taxi dropping off right outside our hotel. Luckily the driver was happy to take us. Those 3 stars are or him and not for the the person who took the telephone call
The taxi driver was excellent and strictly on time. I did request a Hackney cab as my partner had a severe heart attack last December, however, an estate arrived. The driver helped us in and out of the cab with a table which was appreciated. Thank you for your service.
We had an excellent experience with A1 taxis, they provided us with a super friendly driver and lovely comfortable car. The driver had great communication with us to and from the airport, and truly accommodated all our needs. Would highly recommend to others, and will be using this company again in the future!
