    Very helpful and lovely manner on the phone. Unfortunately the taxi did not arrive at the arranged place and time. I was unable to contact them due to bad phone signal, but thankfully I had arranged a back up lift. Just one of those things that comes with visiting the peak district!

    We booked a cab which hadn't turned up 30 minutes after the agreed time, leaving us stuck. No contact from the company to apologise, which is just rude.

    I used penny’s taxis for my trip to the Peak District multiple times as we didn’t drive and it was difficult to get around the area without a car. To be honest as a small taxi company in a rural area it doesn’t operate like a taxi you get in the cities. You have to book way ahead and be very precise with the time. Also there is limited flexibility. Also the text communication might be delayed at times. However I totally understand the limitations given the location and size of the company and the staff are doing their best to deliver good reliable service. My recommendation is to plan and book ahead and keep good communication. Also to commend Penny who has been very responsive with our plan changes and helped us when we were stranded from our hike on an off-the-beaten-track path.

    Had a short get away in Edale (well just down the road from Edale) and Penny's Cars was our knight in shining armour, beyond excellent service and fantastic drivers, and the amazing stand out moment was when they couldn't do a run for us they suggested another company (excellent recommendation Penny, thank you) that absolutely saved our holiday from misery. I simply can't praise them enough. Thank you so much for making our break a wonderful experience.

    We had booked a return from Hope Station to Castleton. All was fine on the way out and had a lovely service, but taxi did not show up for the return trip and when we called were sent straight to voicemail with no reply meaning we missed our train home. Would not recommend if you need a service you can rely on

    Very poor customer service even though both taxi rides were booked in advance. Booked a taxi to attend an event which did not turn up and a car could not be sent until 30 mins later, which would have made us very late. For the return journey, when we asked what time we could expect to be collected, (once the taxi had dropped someone else off) we were told that she had no idea and that we were welcome to walk back if unhappy.

    Thank you Penny's for saving our trip to the Peaks District. Scheduled three rides with them, one quite last minute, and they were very accomodating! Ash was our driver for all three rides and was very nice and knowledgeable about the area. First choice for Hope Valley car service.
