   I want to say a big thank you to Mai and Tamyra. I was called in for a last minute appointment. The staffs was very kind and greeted me with a friendly smile. I was very nervous on arrival as i do not like tight spaces. I was having a knee scan where i was told i was going feet first. If it wasnt for those girls i wouldnt have continue because the receptionist at the desk was very rude - i think his name was Peshant.

   Im a claustrophobic patient where i am scared of tight places. On arrival of my appointment I was greeted by the receptionist (Mai) where she insured me of my scan i was having and made me feel comfortable when having the scan. If it wasn't for her I wouldn't have completed my scan on the day. The noise wasn't as loud as I expected and I was able to have music to help me calm down.

   The NHS contract must be a lucrative earner for InHealth. It's a real shame that they can't put a little more of their financial resources towards hiring someone to answer the phone.

   Very poor service, rude and blunt staff. My appointment was cancelled the day before and given an earlier time. Turned up, had to wait over an hour, not curtesy or explanation from anyone, then moved into another room, followed by another 30 minute wait, again no apology or update. Finally walked into the room, told to get on the bed and nothing else said!! Nothing about time or how it worked! Some customer service training definitely required.

   Unfortunately my experience was not good. I arrived on time but due to congestion in the car park I arrived late. I apologised and explained the issue, I was told I should rebook. I asked to speak to the person in charge to explain and she was very rude and dismissive. As I took a day off work I decided to wait. 4 hours later I am still waiting. The disrespectful ‘lead’ nurse I later found out was a student, which is very concerning. The scanner may be new and upto date but their interpersonal skills and respect for patients leaves a lot to be desired. I may add I am a senior member of the NHS and will be escalating this matter further as they are attached to Croydon university hospital. Absolutely disgusting

   Originally my appointment was for a different date, but they offered me an earlier appointment. They tell you to arrive 15 minutes early which I did, I was sat waiting for an hour. They then tell me that the scanner wasn't working properly so they were running behind. Not happy ad parking is expensive around the hospital

   A new Samsung scanner. wow!!!! Alot less noisier. The lady that dealt with me was very nice. Mayday/ Croydon University hospital is looking up,much better than it used to be.

   As a patient who soon had to have an MRI scan, I am extremely grateful to the medical person working for (Close) Scanner, Croydon hospital - Irini, a young lady of Greek descent. She was by my side the whole time, holding my hand, we spoke the common language we have to overcome the claustrophobia and strong panic attack I have and I got on my first attempt a few days before the second (successful) attempt. She was the person to whom I owe my great gratitude. God bless you, Irini!
