Not the most opulent theatre but all seats appear to give a good view. Balcony is not for those with a fear of heights and the steps are quite steep. Lots of bars available in the Winter Gardens floral garden. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Always enjoy our visits to this Iconic Theatre, plenty of top class productions. Especially enjoy the festive Xmas period, be back again soon. Just enjoyed the Wizard of Oz and all the cast. Well done all.
Came to see BGT Auditions, the place is wonderful, only critic is the prices for drinks and snack, a regular popcorn £9. So expensive if you have children with you.
Love the opera house ❤️ Seen many musicals and also BGT here. It’s large, the seats are actually comfortable. The stalls are on enough of an incline vs height of stage to give a pretty unobstructed view of the stage when people are in front of you. Not the prettiest of auditoriums but you’re watching a show not looking at your surroundings.
Saw Tim Minchin at this wonderful place. There was a bar like a shipwreck. Blackpool is a bit grim, this place still has magic. I'd go there just to spend time there. The opera house stage and Theatre was special. A wonderful place. Seats raked so you could see over those in front of you. If you get the chance go here. It's top
Absolutely fantastic! Watched Elf the musical. Really recommended for a family treat at Christmas time.
Had the pleasure of watching Elf here and once again it was another absolutely amazing show. Would recommend this to others to see as well. As per usual the seats were comfy, view from the Balcony was great and the staff were very helpful.
The Opera House itself is a massive venue with quite steep seating looking down to a nice big stage.The actual lighting,sound and views were excellent.You need to be pretty fit to get about this theatre and vertigo could be a problem if your on the balcony.One mistake we made was to order interval drinks right down in the Spanish bar,a long way down for a drink.Enjoy the show !
An experience just to walk inside and look at the wonderful renovations that have been done. It's bright and airy. Coffee and drinks bar, called Messini . The Empress Grill is wonderful. We had a great pre show meal before watching Footloose the Musical. Only draw back are the toilets positions. We either end up quite a lot of steps to them, or men go downstairs. Must be a disabled somewhere, but I didn't notice. Great experience though. Wonderful watching young people arrive, hair all done specially for The World Championships.
Lovely spacious theatre with raked seating ensuring you get a good view. Poor signage makes it tricky to find as it is located within the Winter Gardens Building. Even once inside, the entrance to the Theatre isn't easy to spot on your first visit.
