I had to take my husband to a&e on 23rd dec the gp said he had to go because his blood pressure was dangerously high. The very busy staff were excellent. They dealt with him calmly and quickly. We were out in 2 and a half hours. He is fine now. Our nhs gets a bad reputation but we are blessed to have them

Itβs one of the worst of NHS they donβt care about people they consider them just numbers. Waiting since last 7 hours In emergency with heavy breathing problems and almost 5 hours since I give my blood samples. Even the doctor comes to call your name very slow and gone. There should be queue management system so at least people have their number. Itβs already mentioned waiting time is 5 hours but I am here for more than 7 hours. Some of the poor countries have better system than us. Very disappointed and major contribution is from the government they collecting as many as tax from you but when it comes to return useless. Advice to everyone go for private health insurance pay them at least your will have the service.

I cannot fault this hospital. I have had many appointments and visited friends and family here over the years and although there is a usual wait, it's always been what you expect from the exhausted services but the staff are amazing and just doing what they can do to help. I recently ate in the dining room for breakfast and lunch as I was taking a friend for a walk around the hospital to get some exercise and it was a great experience. The food is good and very reasonably priced. The staff are very friendly and polite, patient with the undecided. They let you take your time but it's organised well so there is no rush. Plenty of tables and everyone seems very happy with what they order. The coffee is good! The M&S is well stocked and has some good yellow stickers! If you know, you know. The Costa and subway could have more choices but that's just my opinion. Overall, this hospital is fantastic at what it's doing and I've always thought that from giving birth there to now frequently attending appointments with my elderly parent.

My husband and I had a very positive experience at the audiology Department within St Helier Hospital. Having initially booked via the private hearoic clinic ( an option within the audiology department ) he was thoroughly assessed and all hearing aid options ( both private and NHS) were offered to him. There is no hard sell, the staff genuinely want the best and most suitable outcome for the patient. The clinicians ( Abby and Lauren) were caring, attentive and took the time to listen to all our concerns. Itβs very reassuring to see such genuine care from the team. Thank you.

Iβve had my son here, and the birthing experience was excellent. The support for breastfeeding and mental health was fantastic - the staff were caring and attentive every step of the way. Iβve also had abscess drained here twice over the years, and each time the care and skill of the team were outstanding. I truly appreciate how professional and compassionate everyone is. In my opinion, this is a great hospital that genuinely looks after its patients!

ENDOSCOPY. I had an Endoscopy procedure today. The waiting time was a bit long and miscommunication between reception and doctors/nurses resulted in delays for the patient. The receptionist needs to adjust his attitude towards patient when they are enquiring about something, he seemed bothered or very impatient when answering. The nurses were AMAZING. The ones that i can remember are Liz and Joanna. Liz is very patient and took time to reassure me and explain everything in details, i asked a lot of questions due to me being extremely nervous and anxious about the procedure. Joanna and her team again were super reassuring towards me and talked me through every bit of it, this made me feel so comfortable and also made me feel like i was genuinely being well looked after and cared for. I felt i was in really safe hands. The after care with Liz was again very pleasant. I want to say a big thank you to everyone in the Endoscopy department at St Helier. It definitely makes a huge difference for the patient to feel better. The Endoscopy department was very clean and hygienic. Thank you thank you and thank you.

The worst hospital by far. The reception staff have no empathy and they basically treat you as they donβt want you there. I was told by one of the receptionist that I am lucky that I am still in the waiting area after 6 hours of waiting at 5am when I am in agony. I had to leave without being seen after 6 hours of wait because they keep changing the waiting time. I was told the waiting time was 4.5 hours then it went to 5.5 then 6.5 then 7.5β¦ itβs ridiculous. I have full respect for NHS staff but these staff made me more sick. They need to understand people donβt go to hospital a&e to chill or just hangout, they do because they are unwell and in so much pain. The reception staff need a proper training on patient care. Treat others the way you want to be treated! Would not recommend it at all.

From reception to x ray department to A+ E department. Everyone in these departments including porters I asked for directions were helpful, friendly, warm and professional. A+ E department had continuous updates about waiting times. Staff were professional and seemed happy to be there. My waiting time was not as long as I'd thought it would be. Thank you all.

Most efficient blood sampling experience I've ever had, pre booked a slot arrived on time, and from arrival to leaving I'd say it was maybe 3 minutes total. Staff all nice and respectful, did all the security checks before sticking the needle in me as well. Thoroughly impressed.
