It was disheartening to see some people in the waiting area take out their frustration on you over the long wait. You were doing your best to help, even when the answers weren’t what they wanted to hear. You handled it with grace and patience, and I really admire that.    Had a laparoscopy this morning, the hospital was clean and tidy. Each and every member of staff were attentive, thorough, patient, kind, positive and friendly. From reception, to nurses, to support staff and doctors. The names that I remember were Adel, Esther and Katy. Absolutely made my first (and hopefully only) operation relaxed and warming. I hope everybody gets the recognition they truly deserve. Thank you

   I had a laparoscopy done in Queen Mary’s Hospital recently, and had a very good experience. Everything was explained, I felt support at each stage, the nurses were always around after the surgery and took good care of all of us, and recovery is going really well. Felt very nervous at first when I was referred and saw the rating, but I really have nothing bad to say about my experience there.

   Just had an operation at this hospital. I stayed overnight on Mottingham ward and I would like to say that the nursing staff in this ward are absolutely lovely. They took great care of me, nothing was too much trouble for them. Every member of the medical team i met were fantastic. The anesthetist explained everything in detail and so did the surgeon, really made me feel at ease. When i came round in recovery, the staff were great, got my pain under control immediately and made sure i was comfortable before taking me back to the ward. All of the nurses were so friendly and cheerful and they made sure I was comfortable. The ward is spotless, the cleaner came in twice checking the ward was clean & tidy. Huge thank you to all of the staff (especially Joy-Dorothy)

   Had to take my son here for a broken finger. Such a well organised, clean and friendly place. Obviously people will moan about waiting times but there is nothing they can do about the numbers of people that come to their hospital. But we were lucky to be dealt with really quickly and efficiently. Receptionist kept everyone updated on wait times, cleaner waved and joked with the kiddies, radiographers showed us pictures and was super thorough, both nurses we saw were epic and beautiful of soul! Every single member of staff we saw was warm and friendly and caring. Thank you everyone. Keep going - you are appreciated!

   I had my surgery at Queen Mary's yesterday. I found all the staff very helpful and pleasant and all staff involved in my operation explained everything clearly to me at all times. I felt reassured and looked after. I was told what to do and look out for when I got home and gave me pain relief and leaflets to read. They rung me today at home to see if I was ok. Couldn't fault the care thanks so much

   Just want to say how wonderful the gentleman on the phlebotomy reception desk is. Should have asked his name but anyone who would have met him would absolutely know who I’m talking about. I told him on my way out that I am so happy when I see him there as he is always so friendly and helpful. And also, the lovely nurse who took my blood was as wonderful as he was. Hope you both are recognised for the lovely people you are.
