Seen on appointment time. Toe nails cut and hard skin removed, feet pulses checked

Magnolia Unit. Our experience mirrors a previous review by Steve (and others)  whereby my father's personal care/catheter needs were neglected, in that, I had to go in search of help to attend to my dad's full-to-bursting catheter bag on more than one occassion; this is a basic need which should have been better monitored to prevent kidney infection. If you have an elderly vulnerable parent in this place,  monitor their care and try your best to not leave them alone, better still, choose elsewhere.

Attended for mammogram today. I am always nervous about this procedure and informed the radiographers. They were marvellous - patient, kind and supportive. Cannot praise highly enough.

I was seen by Dee in podiatry for consultation, nail surgery and a dressing change. She was absolutely exemplary with her treatment, I’m autistic with a fear of nail related issues and she made me feel so much more comfortable and was very patient and kind both in the consultation and during the surgery doing her absolute best to put me as at ease. Also impressed at the short wait time and level of care. Thank you so much!

My Mum is 97 years old and was admitted here after a stay at North mid, the physio side is fantastic. But the nursing side are understaffed and uncaring, I had to witness my mum crying because she had soiled herself, eventhough we had asked for her to go to the loo, I even offered to help the nurse take , but the nurse said no and walked away, I am an ex paramedic and was taught basic dignity, 2 minutes is all it would've taken!! After that I had to wait at an unattended desk till a nurse appeared and ask for my mum to be cleaned up. WHAT A JOKE! The sooner she's out of her the better

Yesterday I visited the Podiatry service within St. Michael's Primary Care Centre and I was extremely satisfied with the Podiatrist who did a great job, a 5-star performance. Thank you very, very much!

A really depressing souless facility. There is no attention given to visitors. The decor is tired and dated. No water in the visiting room. You are not even offered a cup of tea. No water available either and nobody to ask. I am told the food is appalling too. A truly horrible place....

Is described as a hospital. Comes up when you search for 'hopital' on google. Ran in with a 15 month old baby in need of emergency assistance. Doctors refused to look at her, even to gauge severity of her condition. Was told to walk 40 minutes to a different hopital. Refused to help a baby. Atrocious behaviour. Deserving of internal investigation. Dread to think of the level of 'care' given to other people there.

AWFUL, AWFUL, DREADFUL PLACE . Stayed as an in patient few years ago and was the worst experience of my life. Nurses put on a show at visiting time but in reality they put the NHS to shame. I can’t express enough how shocking this place was. If you have elderly relatives staying here double check their welfare daily.

My mother is 100 years old. She is amazingly well for her age, largely due to the fact that her meagre appetite has been supplemented by Ensure for the last four years. A Dietitian who had never met my mother instructed her GP to stop prescribing Ensure as they "were not looking for clinical improvement". Clinical deterioration has followed which seems to be the aim of the Dietitians at St Michael's and my mother is now becoming mentally unstable. Another Dietitian finally visited her and ignored the pleas of the Registered Nurse at the Home where she lives. She said "it's not up to me", so I have no idea why she came ....... Finally she agreed to reinstate oral nutritional supplements for one more month after which my mother is to "drink milk and take vitamin pills". Obviously this will save the NHs money, but at the expense of my mother's health. Well done to the Dietitians at St Michaels.
