Spoke to Holly on telephone to help with extending policy as my log in had failed. Holly was extremely helpful- gave me quotes on options available, worked out best savings for me and explained everything to me and sent new log in detail links etc. Excellent telephone service. Would really recommend.
Please read all the reviews and don’t touch this company with a barge pole. As soon as you pass your test they cancel the insurance. They keep 40% of the premium then charge £40 cancellation fee and admin fee, so all together I payed £170 for 6 weeks of cover. When the quotes come up they look the cheapest but in reality they’re the most expensive. My daughter went with A choice and they were brilliant.
I had the best experience today! Kaz was absolutely amazing. I wasn’t aware of short-term car insurance policies, but she guided me through everything clearly, as my son has his driving test booked in November. She gave me this great idea, and I’m so pleased with her help. Kaz was polite, humble, and such a good listener. I’m very happy with the quote I received and purchased a short-term policy for my son. Competitively priced learner insurance. Needed to change car post policy formation, there was a 35 admin fee to do so which was expected from previous reviews. However with all the admin fees in the word still a very competitive quote, so no regrets. 4 stars due to online platform not being the most intuitive or easy to navigate.
My son got hit with a £96.65 cancellation fee after having his insurance for less than 4 months. As he passed his test they will no longer insure him. Technically they forced the cancellation. I will certainly be pursuing this through other channels. Be warned anyone considering taking this insurance if you're planning on passing your test in less than 12 months. Your insurance will cost you a lot more than you thought. Their help desk just give you a standard T&Cs response. Very poor.
Good cheap insurance company, But be aware when you cancel your policy they’ll ring you trying to charge you more money.! Paid in full n only used 6 months from the year I had, Then got a call saying I owed money ( which i didn’t ).. Quick to say you owe them money but won’t refund the money for the time you haven’t used lmao..
Like more or less everyone else, I had not expected the £35 cancellation fee. I had paid upfront for 1 years insurance so wasn't expecting anything back but I wasn't expecting them to charge £35 because they have decided they need to cancel the policy. To me there is no need to cancel, you cannot claim on the policy as my son now has a full licence but I thought the policy would run on. No idea how they got an average rating of 3.9 stars looking at the recent reviews.
They are one of the cheapest insurers out there for young learner drivers but it comes at another cost! My son finally got his own car and even with less than a month to go on a 12 month insurance policy they insisted that we paid £40 just to change the registration details on the insurance. Likewise if you do buy 12 months insurance and your child passes within the first six months don’t expect much money refunded as they have a costing for everything! Apart from that they appear okay but are clearly out to make money at the same time. Does not give me confidence should have anything gone wrong.
