I had an appointment at this hospital the consultant Dr Bari was incredible brilliant and her nurse Jayne was so lovely too. And made my experience alot happier. And the girl who I dealt with on the front desk her name was Kim and she was really lovely and very helpful. I really recommend this hospital.

I recently visited Barking Hospital and unfortunately had a disappointing experience with the reception service. When I arrived, Miss Megan the receptionist was on the phone and did not acknowledge my presence or indicate that she would be with me shortly. I felt ignored and unsure whether I should wait or approach the desk. When she eventually spoke to me, her tone came across as dismissive and unhelpful, which made the situation feel even more frustrating. As a patient, especially in a healthcare setting, I expect basic courtesy, acknowledgement, and professionalism. Experiences like this can make people feel uncomfortable seeking help from the NHS. I hope the hospital will address customer-service training at reception, as a welcoming and respectful first point of contact makes a big difference for patients.

“We can’t give you an X-ray because you are of childbearing age” — well turns out it’s broken and I’m having surgery in Japan. Thanks I guess? Suspecting I had broken my pinky toe, I went to this walk-in clinic. After waiting 3 hours to get seen, the doctor looked at my toe, prodded it a bit, and said it wasn’t likely broken. I asked for an X-ray anyway because it looked pretty gnarly but I was denied because of my age and gender (probably a bad excuse for budget cuts?) Anyway I’m in Japan now for 6 months (radiation from the flight), and a month later my toe was still swollen and hurts. I went to a clinic here and got an X-ray… it’s broken — very broken. (More radiation) I’m sent for a CT (lots of radiation).Turns out I have 3 fractures in all 3 bones of my pinky toe and one of them is an avulsion fracture. (A piece of bone has broken off) Another month later, I get another X-ray in Japan. The bones haven’t fused. (More radiation) I have had 5-6x the x-rays I would’ve had and probably could have avoided if I had got one when I asked, but save my ovaries?? In my toe?? Also I’m getting surgery now. If I had KNOWN when I had ASKED for an x-ray that my toe was MASHED UP instead of being told it PROBABLY not broken then I would not be doing a grand tour of the Japanese health service right now.

I would like to sincerely thank Dr. Marie for her outstanding professionalism and dedication to her patients. She is the best doctor I have ever met—caring, compassionate, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure the best possible care. Her ability to listen attentively, explain things clearly, and provide reassurance makes a huge difference during difficult times. I truly appreciate the way she treats her patients with kindness and respect, making us feel valued and supported. Barking Hospital is very fortunate to have such a remarkable doctor.

Visited the walk-in centre at Barking Community Hospital today with my wife and had a really positive experience. We were seen by a nurse practitioner, had tests done, and were given antibiotics—all in less than 30 minutes. The staff were efficient, professional, and friendly throughout. It was a smooth and hassle-free process, which is exactly what you need when feeling unwell. Excellent service!

Good point: Plenty of free parking (reg app in reception) on Sunday but bad point: Zero help or signs when you enter. Blood tests must sit in specific area (no one tells you where that is) and register with the person that logs you in behind a 'table' (No uniform) but they weren't there when we arrived. Could be better. Good point: Fast.

I visited this hospital yesterday. Easy to find, plenty of parking, warm welcome from the guy on the reception. He pointed me in the right direction for my scan. I slightly early for my appointment but was seen on time. Every member of staff was friendly and professional putting me at ease. Great experience. Hopefully I won't need to go back but I would pick this hospital again.

The receptionist is very friendly and helpful. We have only been waiting for half an hour to see a nurse. Unfortunately, we were redirected to another hospital. They helpfully guided us how to go there

I was booked appointment via 111, came here 12:00 , been in this walk in centre over 6 hours now it should be based on first come first serve seen basis they just been seeing people who came after me and I have been trying to comply with the receptionist and been talking so loud and I found her quiet discriminating against certain type of people. And there is only one doctor on call duty and about to 40/50 people in the queue in and out, terrible service, one of most worsts experience never had in uk. I wouldn’t even give it 1 star.

It's a small community hospital. Only attends to outpatients for now. No emergency unit currently. Nice based on It's level of equipment. Friendly services and almost no waiting time in the radiology unit.
