Lovely woodland area with views over the Mersey, especially nice at sunrise Picnic tables nearer the car park. Small visitor centre, toilets, cafe and a couple of nice pubs Popular with dog walkers.

Lovely place for circular walk amongst the trees, with interesting history and fantastic little quirky cafe.

Checked out this place. It was OK. Great for dogs walkers and OK for children to explore where the park offers a dog free area. Sign posts are scattered around the park that gives you information about the parks history. YOU have toilets on the premises and a quirky retro art deco cafe that offers a variety of meals and drinks. Surrounding the park by the carpark you have 2 pubs that seem to have all kinds of events on, a children's wooden adventure play area, ice cream parlour and the view of the River Mersey and Liverpool skyline from a distance where you can walk onto the jetty to have a look.

Great place to have a walk with the doggos, families with kids. Very relaxing and lots of little trails to follow. Lovely cafe there as well.

Went here today to do some walking, pleasant if you get there early, parking available right outide park but its a pay and display car park, there is an ice cream place, and two pubs nearby. Near the car park is also toilets. If you take the right path at the car park, there are views across the River Mersey. There are plenty of seats available to watch the planes overhead and watch the water pass by, in the area, there are different paths to take. Great scenery and much wildlife. Carry a spare pair of shoes and a plastic bag just in case shoes get messed up.

Nice walk out. Kids always love the Bear Pit and finding out about the history of it. Looks to be some new routes to take as well, though we didn't walk them last time.

What can I say? Wonderful park to walk, run, jump and skip. We use it to walk our puppy as do countless others. Dedicated dog free area (fair size) if you choose to avoid them. The bear pit is nothing spectacular at the moment. A tree has fallen in it I think. The bluebell woods was amazing whilst the bluebells were in bloom. My favourite bit in the beech groove, which is spectacular. Cathedralesque. Fabulous woodland walks. Walk over the cliffs looking at and beyond the Mersey. Mimosa cafe on site, which is slightly over priced. But on a sunny day, the pub overlooking the Mersey is perfect for refreshing. Access to three playing fields. Car park is pay and display @ £1 per hour maintained by the council. Most seem to park for free on the street. It is a wonderful urban oasis to get lost in for the two hours or so. Longer with a picnic would be wonderful on a sunny day.

One of my favourite places. Lovely cafe, two great pubs. Love seeing the boats come up the mersey.

A lovely historic location, situated on the banks of the River Mersey just over the river from Liverpool Airport, and at the end of the Manchester ship canal. Eastham Country Park sits on the site of an old ferry crossing of the Mersey, and was formerly a pleasure gardens in the early twentieth century. The remnants of both can be found if you walk along the waterfront and through the woodland in the area. The Tap pub is a popular destination for bikers, but welcoming to anyone in need of refreshment. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

Absolutely loved this place. Felt like I was on holiday with the lovely pubs and eating place near the river. The food at the café was nice and even my dog was treated to sausages and ice cream. A great place to take the dog. I even managed to take my mum around in a wheelchair.
