Positive to negative. Prof Varma is just excellent I can't fault him at all. The new junior doctors that is there at the moment is just as nice though you need to repeat everything for them to make an assessment but I do understand. Negative the reception. There is a few rude people there and treat you as if you are just a nuisance to even come there. If the reception was friendly and helpful I would give it 5 stars. Otherwise thank you for the excellent service I receive from this practice.

I found this practise very unhelpful and uncaring. A close family member has severe depression and tried to register with this practise for an urgent appointment. The NHS app, using their postcode, said they could register. They registered. The practice refused to take them and the person I spoke to when I followed up because I was so concerned about them said they didn't have to take them although the NHS app said they were in their area and didn't offer to give an appointment as a temporary resident. There was no help at all and I was told go to Watford and find something there, there are plenty of practises. When somebody is severely depressed they really struggle to do these kind of things and I think this is appalling and I'm disgusted by how they were treated.

Writting a review purely to say Ferne the nurse is an absolute diamond- I have had some dreadful experiences with front of house staff at this practice for many years and dread coming in because of it- The new front of house lady was kind and helpful and Ferne the nurse is absolutely lovely, informative put me at complete ease. Thank you

The practice is exemplary. The reception is always friendly, and appointments are punctual and easy to arrange. After many years living in a country without a National Health service, maybe I appreciate the comprehensive care more than many people!

I've been with this practice for the past 9 years. The service and care they offer is second to none. You are able to get appointments when you need them. The reception team are friendly and helpful always. The doctors always listen to the issue, I was referred and got my appointment at the hospital in no time. Dr Bobby, I cannot thank him enough. Dr Haq and Dr Yahya again amazing, I was seen right away for some kind of bite that was hot, red and swollen, treatment given. The aftercare is also amazing. All results were double checked, and I was called with more instructions about my care going forward. Thank you so much to the whole team You are great, keep doing what you are doing.

Having been a patient for over 30 years I believe this practice has actually improved since our Covid problems. Due to a retirement my new doctor is Dr. Haq. She is professional, accessible, thorough and helpful showing a natural and excellent empathy with patients. Having a 'temporary' doctor at a secondary UK address the access and care is infinitely better at Colne House. Well done to all and keep up the excellent service you currently provide.

An older gentleman who was the receptionist this Tuesday afternoon was very unprofessional and rude to me. I made a mistake using your surgery door and got yelled at because I should have been next door for my flu and covid jabs. He said this isn't Gade surgery. I'm new to the area how was I supposed to know where I was going.

Sharp pains in chest, heart palpitations, short breath and they said they would call back in a week and a half. 9am the phone rang twice and hung up. I called back right away and was tol they would "Make a note of it" two hour go by and I called again. I was told they would call anywhere between 11:00 (now) and closing time (18:30) No call ever came, this is the second time making this comment as the one from yesterday has been deleted.

I have nothing but praise for everyone at this practice. from the Drs (Orsi & Quinn are mine) to the nurses and receptionists. The latter are much better than they used to be after reading other comments.

I'll start off with the negative so that I finish on a positive. The only reason I have not given this a 5 is because anytime I ring reception (bar I believe 2 members of staff on reception who are brilliant) a few of the ladies there are quite abrupt and seem to act like you have disturbed by ringing them. I'll give you an example. Last April when I required some help, I turned up at the surgery. I needed to inform them my doctor had sent a prescription to the wrong surgery. Long story short, despite their being a pandemic, I was waved in to come through the front door and naturally I thought that also meant come through the second door as they didn't indicate to stop at that point. One of the receptionists spoke to me in horrible manner, almost confrontational. I have been at this surgery since I was born as was my Mum before I was even thought of. That should give you an indication how good this surgery is. It is always quick and thorough and the doctors I am with are also brilliant. They don't rush you; they listen and show interest and ask questions. I am incredibly lucky that my original doctor (who retired) and then the doctor that took him was also just as magnificent as he was.
