   Chorleywood health centre used to be fantastic. The recent decision to make it impossible to book routine appointments online is utterly absurd- they chose to make a process more manual and old fashioned, to make their admin staff do more work instead of just allowing online booking. Why on earth have they chosen to make things harder for their patients and staff? I'm genuinely worried about what would happen should myself or my young child need any kind urgent help as apparently we'd need to fill in a form (in the brief moment they're available) and wait several days for a reply. Their decision to merge with Gade surgery was apparently just the decision to become worse

   I’m very sad to say that I used to love the service at this surgery, but unfortunately, that’s no longer the case. The recent decision to remove the emergency clinic services feels like a step in the wrong direction. Replacing it with a triage process has made things more complicated and less responsive. When people feel unwell, they come to the clinic seeking help—not to be filtered through a system that delays care. Reception staff should be empowered to assess urgency and offer appointments accordingly. It’s also concerning that we now have only one receptionist actively assisting patients, while the other seat is occupied by someone doing admin work. If the role is administrative, it shouldn’t take up space meant for patient-facing support. That seat matters—especially for parents and vulnerable patients who need quick access and reassurance. I hope the management will reconsider these changes and restore the level of care and accessibility that once made this surgery so dependable.

   Thank you to all the staff at Chorleywood Health Centre. My family and I always receive such efficient and brilliant service here. We have seen Dr Patel, Dr Lakasing and Nurse Ruth over the years and highly recommend this practice. Appointment availability is normally good and the staff really care about individuals. Thank you for providing such a great service on the NHS.

   Never an issue getting through to talk to anyone, they always answer my e-requests within a day and the doctors have been helpful and kind. Lovely clean practice as well with a nice waiting area and an auto-call system. Really feel looked after by this practice so thank you for all your hard work!

   I cannot fault the Chorleywood Health Centre in any way. I, yesterday (May I add,Jan 2nd) filled in an online form to talk with a GP, was called at 8:30am and before the allotted time of 11:20 was talking to Dr Lakasing about my health issue. By 12:30 I had already taken my first antibiotic! I cannot fault the treatment and service, we as a family have always recieved and an extra big thank you to the fantastic Dr Lakasing for all of his care over the years.

   Friendly and helpful reception staff. Walk-in service was much quicker that I expected and very clean facilities with face masks at the door if you forget your own mask. Making a regular appointment was quicker and easy too. Doctors very nice and give good advice. Note - new on the day rules on the website - urgent clinics will be at 11am and 5pm each day. You must arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of the clinic and you will be seen in order of arrival. The cut off time for registering for the clinic will be 10.55am and 4.55pm

   I had a phone consultation booked. Requested for this to be changed to face to face on the day before my appointment without any issues. I was seen on time and my referral was in my inbox on the same day! This practice has a very professional and experienced clinical team. We have been registered with them for 19 years.

   The only problem with this surgery is one of the receptionists, she is extremely rude. As the first voice / face of the surgery, customer service should be priority. She needs to be sent on a few courses to learn how to treat people!
