Would give 0 stars if I could. Unfortunately had to call the practice on behalf of my grandfather. I’ve been left on hold for over an hour for a simple enquiry regarding appointment confirmation. When I finally got through there was no apology and when I said most places would at least say sorry for the delay the woman went quiet. If you’re going to waste this much of people’s time due to your inadequate systems at least apologise. I don’t understand why they don’t utilise the NHS app and allow online bookings or even just the ability to view upcoming appointments? Feels like I’m in the hunger games trying to get anything from this practice. So happy I’m registered with my uni GP because this place is a joke. Also if I must be forced to endure the same recorded message over and over again, can you maybe get someone with a bit of pep in their voice? I feel like I’m going to fall asleep by the time anyone actually answers the phone.

Receptionist was very very rude over the phone after waiting on call for 40 minutes waiting for the call to be answered and hanged on me without any discussions. Nurse is not in until until another 4 days and Dr who is going to review will be in after 3 days. The review was sent last week. This people really don't care about anything. No matter what is happening with the patients. Absolutely rubbish service and the worst ever experienc.

Just got every time telephone appointment but if missed one time then no chance of getting another time appointments. I usually do not say anyone bad but I feel this GP service is useless. You are ill now, and got appointment after 1 week .

I very very rarely complain, but no manners. I went to the reception this afternoon to enquire about my prescription not having been added to my list or being available yet. It was 2 weeks ago when I asked for it & brought in the prescription. 8 days later I called and spoke to a receptionist, who was friendly and said sorry it's not on the system, so can I email it over again & it would be sorted out ( luckily I took a photo as they took the original ). Now, 2 weeks after I asked for the prescription, I called in during the morning and again, nothing. So I had to explain again. I thought it best to pop in after 2pm to ask if it was ready and was treated by a very uninterested receptionist typing away, after a minute she looked up at me with a stern face with no form of apology for the delay. Just a sour look, as if I was interrupting her & she was doing me a favour. She asked for all my details & the medication details. When I mentioned it should be on the system as I only knew the brand name. She said, its not on the computer even though she had just typed my name in the system & I had already called in that day with the spelling. I said luckily I have it on my phone, but can read the Dr's writing, but I know the brand name & can look it up. No reaction. I found the active ingredient in the medication & she then told me that it has been sent to the pharmacist. When I asked her if she knew when the prescription would be ready, as it had been 2 weeks. She just said I don't know. Which I had to say, well I have checked a few times and just wondering how long. Reply “well I've sent it upstairs to the pharmacist and they probably already know, and on a list”, NOT “I'm sorry for the delay sir, this doesn't normally happen” as any other business would do. This seems to be the normal experience here from other reviews, but I must say it's only the 1 receptionist & the doctors, nurse & other receptionists have all been very polite & friendly otherwise. This could all have been avoided with some basic manners. I understand that things can be tough on reception, but a little politeness goes a long way.

26.03.25 London I have just visited my local GP. And I must say it was the best experience I had in a long time. I had a test done and usually it takes some time to do it but the nurse was quick and professional. I had another appointment with another nurse tge same day for different test and the doctor find time to come and see me for a minute ( no appointment) just to confirm what will happen next. I can see the effort the nurses and GP is putting into patients comfort and safety. Thank you very much I really appreciate your help and kindness.

Very difficult to get an appointment. Doctors rarely see you in person and left to you to self diagnose. Not interested in finding out what is wrong just treating the symptoms as they arise. Unfortunately, the few good surgeries in the area are full.

Up until the pandemic one couldn’t fault the surgery staff or doctors, however over the last year it’s sad that the surgery has very quickly lost it’s ranking. The brilliant team of GPs that contributed to the surgery’s excellent reviews are no longer at the surgery I have tried recently to see a doctor and have also emailed the surgery on a few instances but they have not responded. And as per NHS England GPs SHOULD respond by the next working day.

Frankly most GPs are bad and this place isn't any better I'm afraid. Doctors here are helpful if you actually manage to make an appointment. The biggest issue is with the phone lines and the wait time where I've been on hold for 1hr+ and when it eventually rings, no one answere. I've also see this first hand where I've been in the waiting room whilst phones are ringing and the staff don't seem to acknowledge the ringing. Not sure if there's a valid reason for this but I find it unsatisfactory and unhelpful.

This is one of the worse GP services. It is clear the reception staff do not want to answer any calls, and when by the grace of god you finally get through they pretend to transfer your call when in fact they are just putting you back to the holding music. Then someone answers but “oops sorry, I’ll transfer you again” back to the holding music - then she answers and…..oh dear the inevitable, the phone cuts off - and so the painful experience has to be repeated again and again. I swear this GP surgery would just prefer we die rather than have to answer the phone.

Agree with all the one star reviews below - have tried twice in the past year to get help and the staff are the most callous, unhelpful and rude people you can ever come across in a GP surgery. Have been turned away at the surgery despite trying to contact them via phone, online and in person several times. Definitely DO NOT recommend.
