Blattent disregard for consumer rights law. Signed up on a 12-month fixed deal and the gym failed to honour the agreed amount. I was at the gym for 3 months and they tried to increase the price by 8% out of line with inflation. Worst still they said I had to pay the new higher rate for the next 9 months before cancelling. After a few emails explaining consumer law they did back down and let me leave the gym. Lesson for Nuffield, please do not offer deals you can't honour and then not let customers leave if you put the price up. Reputation is everything and everyone I know will never sign up for a Nuffield gym now. Note there is also issues at Cheam gym with a few pieces of equipment.

This gym does not care about the customers, my friend and I tried cancelling, due to not being able to use the pool, as the pool is always freezing, even though they state it's heated, but due to our disabilities they refuse to end our membership unless we get a doctors note, even though they were aware of our disabilities when we joined, they became argumentative and rude when we tried to cancel, would not recommend this gym to anyone

Nuffield health gym READING steam room takes weeks to fix.Lots of theft at club in changing rooms.And personal belongings being stolen from pool side.Management don't care .Gym equipment broken and never fixed.Ackrid smell of urine by pool side shower never go's away.Dont join this gym unless you want to waste your hard earned cash. And keep putting prices up on your membership. What a joke this place is.

After joining the gym at an agreed price they have put the price up by £14 a month after three months; for the remaining 9 months. This is not reasonable they also have no right of reply as the general manager tells me there is no one to contact at head office and there is no route of escalating my complaint. Why should a head office have no accountability for the price increases they have implemented. Avoid all dealings with this company.

I go to the gym in Shipley Bradford, The gym is great with good Facilitys, sadly let down by poor communications from managers and head office. As a high altitude climber I use a cardio resistance mask. I was told by managers that I was not allowed to use it due to health & Safety, no other explanation given. I emailed head office twice with no reply and emailed the gym managers, with no reply... The level of ignorance is staggering and the lack of understanding into different sports is even worse. I am left feeling that my membership doesn't mean anything at all, I feel let down ignored and feel that my membership fee is just a means to an end... not good service al all

Please support your Northern gyms. Nuffield Wakefield needs the air-conditioning fixing in the main studio. It's been out of order for months. We are all fed up with the poor maintenance and terrible communication from the manager.

Great place to work. I remained friends with most of the people I worked with. Great culture and the management really cares about you and your wellbeing. Benefits are great too as they put an accent on your wellbeing, with access to free gyms, health assessments and healthcare scheme. Also, during the pandemic, they really stepped up and upped the pay for furloughed peeps and offered an extra day of leave.

Following a medical which i paid for....for 8 weeks i have been chasing them to tell me if i have a heart issue. They said they would reply but dont care enough to. They dont raise complaints they just hide and pass the phone around internally. If you value your health avoid them at all costs. I have even tried emailing the CEO customer care and relations. AVOID at all costs. Evidence of medical review attached.

Very disapointed with the issue below. I was lead to be i was singing up for a monthly rolling contract and went in to my local gym to cancel this believing i would have to pay for the last month. This was not the case the Gym miss sold me a years contract and got me to sign up there and then. I am now stuck with a membership for the next 8 months which i am stuck in. Head office won't help me and the local gym I'm with said i have to be moving away or i have to produce documentation of being out of work to cancel the contract. I asked if i could have a copy of the origional contract to which they respondded they couldn't. Disappointed would be an understatement. Facilities are good just upset that i was missed a product. Please be careful when signing up you not get miss sold.

Great gym and love the equipment and there ethos. But, incredibly annoyed and now frustrated with not being able to log in to my account to book classes for over 3 weeks after countless conversations and hours of waiting to get through. This has still not been resolved and still waiting. Very embarrassing when friends are asking me to book classes with them and I have no access.
