I was asked to go to Edgware NHS Walk in Centre by my GP for post surgery stitches removal. I was dropped off in front as I could not walk without a frame. The reception was efficient and took my details quickly. I had my NHS number and hospital letter and that was useful for the registration. I was seen within 30 minutes by a nurse who took down my medical history who checked my stitches and changed my dressing. I had left my phone at home and reception were kind enough to call my sister for collection. Really good service. The unit does need some investment as it is two decades since it was opened. Nevertheless with limited funds,it excels in what it does.

Well what a service second time I’ve had to visit here on a Sunday both times had excellent service, was seen very quickly even though today it was busy ! The staff here are brilliant Thankyou . I was in and out in 20mins with antibiotics for chest infection.

Outstanding care and service We’re incredibly fortunate to have this place on our doorstep. I visited this morning with an injured ankle (from playing football) and was seen almost immediately. Afi at reception was welcoming and efficient, and as soon as I sat down, Mr. Jama in triage—who was extremely kind and attentive—called me in. He assessed my injury, provided pain relief, water, and even an extra crutch (I’d only managed to bring one from home). Within 10–15 minutes, I had my X-ray done, and shortly after, Lucy reviewed the results. She was just as lovely and professional as everyone else I encountered. I was in and out within the hour. Truly faultless service—this isn’t the first time our family has needed their help, and each visit has been just as impressive.

I rang before I went because I didn’t want to waste their time, it wasn’t serious enough to go to A&E and I didn’t want to risk waiting for a GP appointment on Monday and not be able to make an appointment due to the volume of calls. The reception staff were kind and friendly. I arrived at approximately 18:30 and was seen within 30 mins which I think is exceptional for an NHS service. Part of my review is to help others who may be in a similar situation: I was prescribed anti-inflammatories but was advised strong painkillers and muscle relaxants would need to be through my GP so that they can monitor and review. Thank you Edgware Walk in Centre! I’m glad services like this exist for people like myself who work and can’t always get/make a GP appointment.

Once you walk in, you get stuck. No one knows for how long . The nurse will check you quickly for pulsing which was reassuring . Then you are back to being stuck ! Even if you ask various staff they all will get agitated and will tell you very clearly that they have no idea of your waiting time. The patients are prioritized so if you do t bleed your name will be keep on dropping down the line. So bring your lunch and dinner and be patient . This sounds crazy but true, perhaps the staff may be sick themselves. And for the staff : Please give your patients some indication of WAITING TIME when they arrive before they succumb to their injuries

It doesn't seem to be any recent review about this walk-in centre , so all the other ones are not picturing the current situation: yes, the waiting hours are long ( rule is : the worst symptoms/ urgent care comes first) but in the end you are seen by a nurse or a doctor who can prescribe medication or can refer you to a more suitable department. Everyone is very nice and respectful, i went here 3 times in the past year: 2 times for my son and once for myself , we were treated with care and always had our situation sorted out. From the receptionist, to the triage nurse to the person who's seeing you, everyone was great.

Awful. Nurse at the front was so condescending and rude. I started to explain why I was there and she got angry at me and even rolled her eyes. Taking into account that it was the least busy time, at 1.30pm, there were only 5 people max waiting and she was acting like the world was ending and I was wasting the last 5 mins of her life. Vile, insensitive and unsympathetic woman, doesn't deserve the title of "nurse". With her bedside manner and lack of hospitality, I am shocked thay she is allowed by the managers to carry on like this.

I cannot believe why they have such low star rating, I’ve taken my daughter there and the staff was all extremely helpful and although it was quite busy, we didn't wait that long as I had expected. I had a great experience here, especially as its walk in, I was surprise at how well they attended everyone.

I was told by my GP to go to A&E in case there were urgent tests to be done, due to an ongoing problem with worsening symptoms that may need urgent care. After travelling to Edgware hospital for an hour, I saw a sign that said no A&E. A helpful member of staff told me I could still be seen in the walk in centre. There, another member of staff told me they couldn't run any tests in that walk-in centre, without specifying if they could ask for tests in the hospital 30 feet away from the affiliated walk-in centre. She said that I could be seen, however, and they would examine me. One hour later, I asked the receptionist if the wait was going to be long, as it could potentially be life threatening, and that if there was no triage and that they were likely to send me to A&E anyway, I would better off leaving now, as I had already wasted 2 hours. She was nice and helpful and referred me to the 1st nurse, who became mad at me, saying that I had accepted to wait to be seen so it was my fault, and nearly laughing when I mentioned it could be life threatening. I said I only waited because she told me I could be seen, but in an hour, no triage had been done. Then she added something that sounded odd at the time, saying that I was expecting "preferential treatment". I tried to reason with her and said that I didn't, but expected that they would follow healthcare best practice and evaluate the emergency of the situation (a life threatening problem like internal bleeding is usually dealt with before a cold), but she said again about me expecting "preferential treatment" and shouting at me. I left as she was wasting more of my time and I still had to go to another hospital and queue again, not knowing how long it would take for someone to finally evaluate my sitation. I only realise now that I was victim of bias for the way I look and/or my accent and that this is the reason she refused to treat me in a human way and that she yelled at me. It is critical that the NHS doens't authorise their staff to act with prejudice. Patients deserve to be treated with care and respect, and not to be judged and heir health issues prioritised because of how they look or where they come from.

Where to start, can I give 6 stars!! Great triage, people and facilities. 3rd week of ear infection, lots of detail for me to provide. All team members were very efficient and got straight to the nub of my issue. I was quickly discharged and out for meds. Due to local pharmacist having no stock of the prescribed anti biotics. I had to return twice to walk in clinic to adjust prescription and I found on all three occasions the staff were attentive, pleasant and willing to solve my problem. The staff had just encountered a very difficult incident where police were called to assist, but the professiinism shone thorough as team members brushed it off, reset, and then continued sterling standards. A true credit to the hospital and the wider community to ensure health and well-being, this is what 'fantastic' looks like. Thanks all
