I’ve had repeated negative experiences with the receptionist who answers the phone at this clinic. On two separate calls, her attitude was noticeably rude and dismissive. During my first call last week, she made assumptions about my age, even after I clearly confirmed my age. She then spoke to me in a patronising way and redirected me to a service that wasn’t appropriate. After I explained my symptoms, she told me to buy a cream and ended the call abruptly instead of offering an appointment. Clearly shows she has no care for patients issues and lacks sensitivity. When I called today to reschedule an appointment, the same unprofessional behaviour happened again. The call ended with her shouting “bye,” which was completely unnecessary. At this point the ombudsman should know about her behaviour. She probably thinks she can get away with it little does she know I’ve been taking time stamps of each time I called and what was said by her and me. Managment should step in and monitor her behaviour, I’m sure they’re aware she’s lacks manners. No patient should feel disrespected or uncomfortable when trying to access healthcare. This has now happened twice, which is more than enough to show a pattern of rudeness. If this behaviour continues, I will be raising a formal complaint through the ombudsman, as it’s not acceptable for patients to be spoken to this way. Management needs to address this issue, as it reflects poorly on the clinic and makes accessing healthcare far more stressful than it should be. She clearly has issues going on at home and is projecting. Sort it out!

by far the worst experience i’ve had trying to book an appointment. i called once at 9am and was on hold for 45 minutes. after waiting by the phone for that long i was then told i needed to call again on monday as i could not book the specific appointment i was looking for until then, it said this no where on the website. i then called again on monday at 9am and was on hold for 1.5 hours, i then found out i could no longer book an appointment as they were all taken and i would need to call the following monday. never have i experienced more inaccessible healthcare

This clinic is a complete joke. For two weeks I’ve been told I can’t book by phone, only online. But the online system NEVER works – every single day it says I must call instead. So which one is it? Patients are left stuck in a useless loop while needing urgent care. Absolute disgrace and a waste of time.

The receptionists are very rude and condescending. They show no empathy whatsoever towards the public they're meant to help! I recall walking in on one Friday afternoon, a few minutes past 2 or thereabouts. I had a suspected HIV exposure (mind you, "walk-ins" is advertised on their website). The moment I entered, they made me feel the whole weight of that associated stigma, interrogating me and making me feel sorry, as if to remind me they own your life. I was in distress and practically pleaded to be seen, mindful of the short treatment window. However, they refused to exercise even the vaguest discretion and told me to book online instead. By the way, this online process is a useless exercise because all the slots are suspiciously gone the minute they are released. When they felt I'd become a nuisance, they called over some security to remove me. I felt so humiliated that I ran to Camberwell out of desperation. Despite arriving late and not being on the appointment list, I explained my situation and was promptly attended to. I have since been avoiding the Croydon centre even though I live locally. In my judgement, they use the all-too-common "added pressure" on the NHS slogan as an excuse for this conduct. I now attend the Chelsea, Dean Street and all the other designated clinics dotted around the capital, not by choice, but because I know I can walk in and be seen. The Croydon centre should scrap the cumbersome online appointment system and revert to serving the public on a first-come, first-served basis.

I couldn’t be happier with the care I received at this clinic. Dr Mahasti was non-judgmental, kind, thorough and diagnosed my condition straight away, for which I was given prompt treatment. She then went above and beyond making sure I was tested for every other possible issue, vaxxed to the max and put on Prep. Terese the nurse was also wonderful - experienced, chatty and funny, she really put me at ease in what could have been an uncomfortable situation. A huge thank you to them both!

So far I’m not having the best luck using this service. I’ve had to wait for days before I could actually book an appointment for a phone call. When I was finally able to make the appointment, I wasn’t called as arranged - my ‘appointment’ had been moved to another time without notice and the time changed. Upon calling reception to find out what was going on, I was pretty much dismissed and told to wait for my call, which will now be hours later. Not impressed as per when it comes to Croydon medical services.

Thank you Dr Khan for your brilliance today. It was my 4th attempt at having this procedure and your skill made it successful at last. These matters take great courage as a patient to keep turning up for, I am so glad I did! Thank you for turning up too!!

I had a few telephone appointments, because needed to put Mirena coil after polips removed. I have a letter from Croydon hospital gynecology department that must put a Mirena coil soon as possible. On the 3th call I have got a appointment on November 23. Today is November 4. Confirmation about appointment I didn't get yet. This clinic don't even deserve a star.

I had my implant removed and coil fitted in this morning and the two lovely nurses couldn't be more helpful. They were very professional, knowledgeable and super nice. Everything was on time, quick and pleasant. They were both very sweet ladies. Thank you very much Laxmi and Jackie for your help today!

I don’t normally leave reviews but thought I would here as I checked the reviews myself before visiting seeking reassurance. My experience here was positive from start to finish. The lady on reception was friendly, and the doctor and nurse I had during my copper coil/IUD fitting were so professional and reassuring. Everything was explained to me as we went through, and the procedure was over so quickly it took me by surprise. I had nothing to worry about and was really impressed by the whole service.
