We have just been to The Mount for a birthday meal and what a meal we had. The service was superb and the food was amazing. I had the Scotch Egg, Ribeye Steak and Crème Brûlée, would definitely recommend and go back again!

Really good roast, potatoes were perfect and the cauliflower cheese was excellent. Some of the other veg was a little on the soft side, but I guess personal preference if you want a little crunch or not. Had a delicious primitivo wine, and some cocktails on the table which were thoroughly enjoyed. Would definitely come back. Leave plenty of time before your booking if you are driving, as it can be quite a walk once you've found a space.

We were passing through Henley in Arden and it was lunchtime. We stopped to look for somewhere to eat. The Mount took our fancy and we were not disappointed. Friendly staff greeted and sorted out a table for us (Friday lunch). The staff were pleasant and attentive. The atmosphere in the restaurant area was very relaxing with pleasing decor and furniture. The food was excellent- well cooked and plenty of flavour. It arrived within a reasonable time frame and I thoroughly enjoyed my short rib/blue cheese pie. Crisp pastry but easy to cut through. Succulent meat and a flavour of cheese without being overpowering. We will be making a special trip over for this restaurant again

Amazing food and attentive staff all at very reasonable prices. Unfortunately our evening was ruined by a group of disorderly men who were incredibly noisy. The staff let the situation continue throughout the night and when another table asked the group to be a little more respectful it nearly came to blows as the men were so drunk and disorderly. Left the restaurant with a terrible headache because of the noise and disruption.

Food is stunning, absolutely value for money! It give Michelin star vibes, but kn a more relaxed setting. The service was great, very attentive! The atmosphere was great, very cosy settings. There was a decent variety to pick from with the food and drink, which was really good. I would come again, 1000% recommend, whether its for a lunch, sunday lunch or a special occasion! Thank you!!

Lovely place, great food, good service. My only issue was it was so noisy and too hot ! I appreciate its a pub but there is a clear distinction between the bar area at the front and the restaurant area at the rear of the establishment. You couldn't hear yourself talking as there were too many tables just sat drinking and being loud when they had clearly finishing eating. Disappointed with that but food was lovely, at over £130 for 2 people I'd have liked a bit more of a relaxed meal.

I’m afraid I have to agree with other recent reviews. Simply not good value. Starters we’re very good (we had squid and scotch egg), but an average quality steak, poorly cooked. For £70 (and I appreciate it’s subjective) I expect a very good cut of meat; well bred, well kept and well hung; to be cooked well. Unfortunately it wasn’t, and tarnished our experience which was a rare, child-free evening meal. Average cut, cut far too thin in my opinion, overcooked. They may have had better results with a better cut. Service was good, very polite and courteous, but not particularly attentive. Training others how to lay a table on the adjacent table while we are our having our meal really shouldn’t be done at a venue that charges these rates. That said, they accepted our meal wasn’t quite as it should be and dealt with it well. Average wine at too high a price. Sadly, we won’t be back. A shame, as we were hoping to have a decent, local and good value regular. Hope others have a better experience; I’m sure they’re capable of it. Starters were great, the rest would’ve been better done at home.

First Look: The Mount – Henley In Arden After bagging a table for The Mount on launch day, it was lovely to see the buzz of diners walk in through the door. Spot a couple tables outside if you just want to sit and have a drink, alongside various sections of bar seating inside. Many congratulated Glynn on the new opening and there’s a good atmosphere, with diners eager to see what the future will hold for this new restaurant. The Mount has replaced what used to be The Butcher’s Social and the space is vibrant and welcoming. From first impressions, I can honestly say the meal was very, very good. I’ve been talking about the visit to so many people all week and really hope the team do well in that specific location. There’s a lot of passing trade & tourism in that area – so the key will be to ensure more people know about it. The food isn’t pretentious but is pricier than your average, bland restaurant you might otherwise find nearby. The Battered Fish and Chips is stunning - a must try!

Service with a smile and a great Sunday Lunch. The team at The Mount Pub had decorated the front of the pub for Mother's Day and made 8 of us feel very at home. All the Sunday roasts came with a Yorkshire Pudding (big tick) as mine wasn't stolen by the kids. The atmosphere in the restaurant was really 'buzzy' and as expected the food was delicious for everybody. We also went on Friday night too. Lots of people mingling and having fun! Great place. Thank You
