You wait weeks for an appointment, and when you get one you have to wait 25 minutes +. But if you are 5 minutes late they wont see you. No consideration for your time. I understand appointments go on longer in cases, but if you know you will be late, you can let the patient know. Waiting nearly 30 minutes is ridiculous!

Having recently joined the Barnard from another GP surgery in Sidcup, I am very impressed with the level of healthcare I have received. The doctors and nurses that I have seen so far have been simply wonderful. At least when you submit an online form to the Barnard it is reviewed by a doctor and not a receptionist. Which was the case at my old surgery and a number of GP surgeries. Keep up the good work Barnard!!!

I am very unhappy with the poor service I just received from a receptionist at the Granville Road surgery. I was trying to book a flu spray for my teenage daughter, as she missed it when her school offered it in September . I have a speech impediment so can find it really difficult in phone conversations, But despite making this clear, I received no understanding. I had to ask for a flu spray 4 times, spelling it letter by letter each time, though she still kept saying βI donβt know what a blue spray is.β When she finally understood, she told me to go to my daughterβs school. I said I had already contacted the school and they were not offering any more sessions. She then told me to go to a pharmacy like Aspire; again, I said I had been to Aspire and two other pharmacies and they all told me to go to the GP, so I was effectively going round in circles. She repeated these two options even though I said I had already tried them and then told me to Google where I could take a teenager to have a flu spray, as they were only offering it to younger kids and in any case had no more vaccinations left. Her manner was sharp and unhelpful and showed no empathy for my difficulty in communicating with her. By contrast, I then phoned an NHS clinic in Chislehurst, who were so helpful and understanding of my needs and my disability, where communication was not a problem and human kindness was fully shown.

The practice has looked after me so well. I have a long term auto immune health condition. Initially worked with the GP to ensure we have accessed the right specialists for my condition. Shared care is now in place with the Rheumatologust. If I have any issues I call up, if urgent I arrive at the surgery to get a GP appointment. Sometimes I need to see a nurse. There is never a problem. The reception staff are amazing, very kind and helpful.

Like all GP surgeries, it is hit and miss with appointments, and if you do get one, the GPS are always running late, so you sit and wait and wait.

The appointments themselves are practical and get the job done although I've never felt like there has been that much compassion. Waited over 7 weeks for my online form to be processed so I can access online services - it's still not been fixed. Phoned up three times and they have constantly told me that they will sort it, only to find out now that the form has been lost and I have to come in again to fill it out... There is absolutely no customer service

All the staff are very pleasant except for Dr Holly Hutson. When my husband was having Chemotherapy there was an. 8 date window when he could have the first Covid vaccination. Going to the surgery woukd have been easier than my husband having to stand in a queue at our local hospital. We asked Dr Hutson if she was able to squeeze my husband in . She refused. Instead we went to Aspire Pharmacy in Sidcup. There they were very kind, but it was during a very cold time abd my husband was having problems standing. The staff very kindly came to the car & gave him the vaccination so he didnβt have to get out. What a contrast with Dr Holly Hustonβs attitude.

Have a telephone chat with a Doctor in three weeks time. Then have another chat in three weeks time, then another. Eventually face to face appointment text received from Doctors confirming so. Attended at precise time to be informed by receptionist that according to her computer it was for a telephone appointment only. Disgusted.
