I had an appointment with Spiro for a breathing test. The place is easily accessible and has parking outside. (Ringo payment) The receptionist was lovely patient with me because I couldn’t speak very loudly being out of breath. I was early and that was also not a problem. I sat and waited and watched the receptionist who was so good at her job. Dealing with one difficult man who was trying to jump the queue so politely and yet did not allow him to jump in early. This young lady wore a scarf. The lady who did my breathing test was kind and took her time, she was very affirming and good explanation of the process. Her bedside manner was fabulous. If I wasn’t moving to Norfolk soon I would move there for my Dr’s.

I am a resident of Ilford. Today I called my GP surgery and spoke to a female receptionist who kept asking unnecessary questions about my medical problem. I clearly mentioned several times that I wanted to book an appointment, but she kept avoiding the request instead of helping me. This is not the first time. For a long time now, this particular receptionist has behaved in the same way. She seems unwilling to give appointments, and I do not understand why. We pay NHS contributions, so why are we treated like this? We are patients and deserve proper care and respect. If we are expected to explain every medical detail from A to Z to a receptionist, then what is the need for a doctor? It feels like the receptionist is trying to decide the problem herself instead of allowing us to see a GP. I have now been told to call back tomorrow. My question is: why tomorrow when I need help today? This is exactly why we are losing trust in this GP surgery. Day by day, their behaviour is becoming more frustrating, especially because of this current receptionist. Her tone is often rude and angry, which makes patients feel uncomfortable and upset. I hope this practice takes patient concerns seriously and improves the way reception staff communicate and handle appointment requests.

I am sorry even not services about 1 star. I am deeply disappointed and upset by the careless handling of my son’s case. He was suffering from fever, a painful sore throat, and a running nose, and as a worried parent I waited nearly 30 minutes just to get connected. After all that anxiety and waiting, I was coldly told to β€œwait for a few days,” with no concern for how quickly a child’s condition can worsen. Even I also inform called 111 for help they advised to consult pharmacist but not getting better and This lack of urgency, empathy, and responsibility is unacceptable when it comes to a child’s health. No parent should feel ignored or helpless while their child is unwell.

Terrible receptionists here! I have just been refused an appointment for my chest infection where I am coughing up a lot of blood and am unable to sit upright or lay for a long period of time. Jessica, the receptionist told me to go to my local pharmacy (which I have already been to) and refused to assist me further. This practice has changed over the years as I was always able to get an appointment when in need of medical attention and even spoke to doctors on the phone before coming in. A receptionist is not qualified to diagnose me in anyway and I shouldn't even have to share my medical data with non-professionals. I have been a patient for 26 years but will now look at changing my GP practice. Don't bother unless you are friends/family with the staff!

I’m am extremely disappointed with the service I received at this GP practice today. I had a scheduled appointment and arrived on time, yet I was left waiting for over two hours without any communication or updates. Eventually, I was told that my appointment time had already passed, and I was even asked if I was sure I had checked in at the desk.. which I absolutely did because I came half an hour earlier and asked them if I could be seen earlier as I had to pick up my daughter from nursery. This experience was not only frustrating but also disrespectful of my time as I had to manage someone to get to pick up my daughter from school. Patients should not have to chase staff to confirm attendance or sit waiting for hours only to be told they have missed an appointment they clearly attended for. The lack of organisation and accountability is unacceptable, and I hope the practice takes this feedback seriously to prevent others from experiencing the same poor treatment.

Ilford medical centre is awful. The lead Dr was treating me and my sugar control was bad. He had given the wrong medication and since going to Loxford clinic I am now taking the right medication. what a relief! My last sugar is now normal after 2 years of high readings. I think all diabetic patients should avoid this surgery. The lead Dr told me to stop eating pakoras . What a joke! I could never get an appointment .The phones are never answered. The NHS should speak to the lead Dr. He talks about how great he is but could not treat me properly. He needs to listen. He kept on telling me he is the best GP in ilford.

This place literally needs shutting down! By far worst service and worst staff ever come across! My mrs was in a bad way waiting for a phone appointment then they rang her and told her to come down for a physical appointment. This was half hour before the appointment we got in the car went down there was ten mins late as we had to stop a few times so she could throw up. To get then told no you missed you appointment. Call up and make a new one. To be then told there no appointments left have to do a phone appointment like we was going to in the first place. Honestly so useless! I don’t advise anyone to use this disgusting service! I’m outraged

Unprofessional staff and doctors. They never call you back. They don't care if it's for an adult or a baby. My baby has a skin allergy and they referred her to an Optician, even though we told them that it's not her eyes it's her skin which is in bad condition and getting worse. The optician on the other hand checked her, told us to wait for a WHOLE month, and then said that it's not her eyes, it's her skin that needs a Dermatologist. In the meantime, her skin allergy got worse and we requested Ilford medical center to refer her to the Dermatologist. It's been 4-5 days still no call, no contact. No wonder why they have a 1.4-star rating. You can imagine how professional they are. I wish I could give them a half-star.

I never visit GP surgery but I fall sick and call my registered GP ilford medical center, firstly I waited for 4 hours to get a call back and when I got the call back from the receptionist, she phone me just to inform that I should call next day because GP is not available, now my question is why a GP surgery is there if a patient needs to wait for next day?? And when I start requesting her that I am not well and I really needs to be treated so please arrange something, she just simply hung up on me!! I wonder why NHS is over burden, these GP surgeries neglect/reject their registered patients resulting people rushing towards emergencies and hospitals to get treated because they get hung up by Local GP surgeries. Amazing isn’t it.

I am writing this review because this GP's staff(receptionist staff) is very rude and irresponsible, I have been suffering from my Neck and back pain since August I contacted to GP and after 2hrs waiting on automated call I got an appointment and the doctor seen me, doctor referred me to the Hospital and I got a latter saying that you will be contacted before 19th Oct 2022, I have been waiting for call but they never call me. I contacted to the referred hospital and they said if the pain is urgent and it is emergency please check with GP and ask them to send an email about your problem severity, I immediately went to GP and asked them to send the mail to the hospital, they took my request on paper and said they will send the mail to the hospital but as usual GP didn't sent any mail to the hospital(When I again contacted to hospital then I got to know), again I went to GP to ask them if they missed please send mail to hospital but no use they took again detail and not sent to hospital. Now I am in the situation that I got anxiety, because of this Neck pain I can't able to sleep properly, I called "out of hour 111 emergency service" they said contact to GP they will start immediate mediation but when I went to book an appointment they said we can't book appointment for today you need to wait for a week. Can you imagine how could these staff tell in this anxiety situation where I am not getting proper sleep hardly getting 1 or 2 hrs in whole day. In Ilford medical GP, I never got proper treatment not for me nor my wife. Very very disappointed with the service they are providing always they are taking note on paper and may be throwing into the dustbin. Worst GP in Ilford. I don't know the authority checking this review or not but if not please review and cancel the licence. I am selecting 1 start which is not actually correct this GP not even 1 start like.
