I had a face to face appointment with Doctor Emmanuel Lawrence for two medical problems on the 29/12/2025. He was very thorough, and professional. I was very impressed with the level of care I received. He even called me later to check something out. Kind regards John Driscoll.
I feel we are very lucky to have such excellent receptionists at Hurst Place Surgery. I have been a patient at Hurst Place for 18 years, and have always found the wonderful reception manager Maureen, and all the receptionists to be so helpful and kind. The level of care I have received from the nurses, and doctors over the years has also been wonderful.

Have been struggling with my health over the past few years with lots of unrelated issues. The practice can't do enough for you, the reception team are fantastic and the practice manager is really empathetic and always tries to find a way to get you the help you need. They're always happy to print off test results for your records and communicate with you every step of the way. Would be good to always see the same doctor but obviously that's not always possible due to strains on the system. The doctors I have seen have all been great and I'm very, very lucky to have this practice on my doorstep
Reception staff are very good. GPs are almost non-existent they rely mainly on Physicians Associates which I find unacceptable. Before Covid I would have given 4 stars.
So glad that we have this medical centre. Reception staff are so polite, helpful and always feels that they truly care. It is very organised surgery as getting reminders etc. Also, had a chat with different Gps and only possitive feesback about all :)
Exceptionally difficult to get any kind of appointment at this surgery. Usual response is to be told to wait for hours for a straightforward diagnosis in crowded conditions at an urgent care centre. Routine appointments available in 3 weeks if a patient is lucky. Please increase your medical staffing levels to cope with the huge demand in the area. It really isn't fair on patients.
The nurses and reception staff have been absolutely incredible in helping me the last few months. Kind and caring as always and always willing to go the extra mile to help me. Special mention to Julie who I’ve seen a number of times recently nothing was ever to much- fantastic team all round! Reception staff have been so helpful and always happy to help x
This place is good most of the time, I have had some bad GP's etc but over all the GP's/ service is good. The staff when told more about what is wrong does put you higher in the list when needed, so do tell them information. This helps when they have a big wait for non emerges appointments, I am happy to wait in that as you know they really are putting people first who need them. I am seeing things get better here over all and this is good. Keep up the good work.
