As A-Plan, these guys were great. Since becoming Howden, their service has been terrible - you are on hold for ages, then no one can deal with the call as the department is busy blah blah blah. They've already lost my home insurance, and are about to lose my car insurance too.
I would like to commend in particular the Office Manager, Kaiss, who has gone well beyond the extra mile to help with a complex case. He has been proactive, friendly and solutions-oriented and an impressive insurance professional.
Use them often, but when my car insurance was due for renewal today, and I was returning their call, I tried all day and couldn't get through all day, the phone kept going through to other branches. Each time I was promised a call back from Epsom but never ever got the call, leaving my insurance to expire at midnight tonight. This forced me to go elsewhere. Useless
In my opinion A-Plan is one of the best insurance specialist companies in UK. I always find friendly , efficient and helpful customer service every time I contact them. Prices are often the best and if I need to renew any of my policies it's them I call first. They send a monthly bulletin just to inform you regarding new offers and promotions. They are always ready to help and suggest the best option. 5 stars very much deserved. I recommend to call them if you need a quote or a general information about any of your insurances. Never disappointed. Thanks guys!
I've used A-Plan for several years now for my car insurance. Always friendly service and helpful. I've always checked prices and they are there or there abouts each year. Worth a try in my opinion. Not as quick as online comparison site but you know what you are getting with no hidden surprises.
Losing the plot. I've kept my motor and home insurance business with Aplan Epsom for about the last 10 years. But no longer. Until now the staff have always been unfailingly professional, efficient and polite. A pleasure to work with. But Millie succeeded in being so clearly irritated and bored by my need for assistance to deal with the damage caused by Eunice that she couldn't wait to get me off the phone. "I've told you who you need to call so you are merely prolonging my conversation." Rarely have I come across such discourtesy. I don't suppose it will make much difference to people who think it is OK to talk to clients in this way but I will be taking my business elsewhere in future.
When my husband died I had no idea of what was what, I called A Plan and they went through everything with me thoroughly. I then had a minor car crash and Alistair in claims was brilliant, so supportive. These guys have customer service to a T and I can't fault price comparison with the online. so good to have a local voice on the other end of the phone. Good old fashioned service at online prices.
