I strongly advise anyone NOT to go with this company!! Terrible customer service, takes well over an hour to get through to their team, and when you do get through to a member of the team they’re extremely rude and do not listen to what you have to say. They’ve recently put me at fault for a claim that I made that wasn’t my fault! And after raising complaints they still don’t care and continue to put me at fault and take sides with the third party. Please do not waste your time and money with them. They’re con artists! They don’t even deserve a 1 star!!

What?\nAn absolute joke this company /, Carol Nash, Avoid, like the plague. It has taken me 7 weeks to get anywhere with my insurance claim. I've had to call them to tell them that my bike was going to be destroyed by the police. If the bike was not recovered, then it was transferred to another recovery yard to then be sent to Coparts I was instructed that coPart was going to Look at my bike and get back to me. Which was a lie I was told that I was going to be paid out within 24 hours again, which was a lie and then to be told I was going to be paid on the Tuesday. The Tuesday come and no money has been in received to then be told. It will be 5 days. Would definitely not recommend this company at all. They just lie to you all the time. And then try to cancel your Insurance policy. As you wanted to add a new vehicle to it and told me that I had to Have the vehicle for 2 years for them to put it on my policy Which is a load of rubbish

I’ve never left a review like this before, but after what I’ve just experienced, I feel an obligation to warn other motorcyclists before they trust Markerstudy (via Carole Nash) with their prized possession. In March 2025, my beloved Harley-Davidson was stolen from a secure underground car park in London. Access required a resident’s key fob, CCTV was in place, and the bike was locked — I took every possible precaution. It wasn’t casually parked on the street or left unattended; it was in a private, gated, access-controlled building. Despite this, it was stolen — and when I turned to my insurer, they completely abandoned me. I had been insured through Carole Nash/Markerstudy for nearly three years, always paid my premiums, never missed a payment, never made a claim. My declared address was in Surrey, where the bike had always been stored in a locked garage, as per the policy. I temporarily brought it to London for 3 days to work on a battery issue — not for commuting, not for long-term use — just a short stay. That’s when the theft happened. Markerstudy’s response? Claim rejected. Why? Because the theft didn’t happen at my declared address, and they claimed I should have informed them of a “change in garaging location.” Apparently, they expect you to update your insurer every time your motorbike isn’t in your garage — even for a weekend. They cited a clause buried in the policy (E728) about needing to keep the bike in a garage within 500m of your home. But here’s the kicker: the theft didn’t happen within 500m of my home — it was over 30 miles away. That clause shouldn’t even apply. And yet, they used it to deny me coverage. I did everything right: • Locked the bike • Stored it in a secure facility • Reported the theft to police immediately • Provided CCTV footage of the theft • Fully cooperated with their investigators Still, no payout. No empathy. Just corporate legalese and fine-print technicalities. It’s hard to put into words the feeling of losing something that means so much to you — and then having the company you trusted to protect it slam the door in your face. I’m now left thousands of pounds out of pocket, emotionally devastated, and feeling completely misled. If you’re reading this and thinking about insuring your motorcycle with Carole Nash or Markerstudy, please think again. This isn’t just about money — it’s about trust, fairness, and the principle of being treated like a human being when something terrible happens. I wasn’t — and I don’t want anyone else to go through this.

DO NOT have dealings with this company. They are scam artists. They encouraged me very strongly to make a claim on my car insurance policy even though I wasn't keen and knew that it probably wouldn't be covered. Then when it turns out that they couldn't cover my claim (as i initially thought) they told me they have a legal obligation to keep the claim open and refused my request to withdraw my claim. I am now tied into paying for a policy on a car that no longer exists, until they decide at their own whim, that I can close the claim that I made myself. This is extortion, plain and simple. When you speak to customer services you get a different explanation each time and frequently get put on hold for long periods before the call cuts out altogether. I repeat: DO NOT have dealings with this company.

If I could give 0 I would. Doesn’t even deserve 1 star. I am still after 2 months of an accident unable to get a figure of my total claim made against my insurance. Past from person to person who can’t decide who can give me the information and then hung up on every time while waiting on hold. Each time I call back I have to go through their security for the same to happen every time. The portal is useless and I have not received anything back from my emails. I’d avoid at all costs and wish I had looked on Google about what insurance company uses what underwriters.

It’s a shame I can’t rate their service as a 0. I’d advise to avoid at all costs. Issues involve taking over 45 minutes to answer the phone. Lying, saying that they’d tried to get in touch with the police officer dealing with my claim when they hadn’t. Doing everything in their power to delay paying out. Giving me false information saying they were going to pay out via bank transfer then sending a cheque 2 weeks later with no further communication (no postal strikes!). After 2 months of messing me around I ended up calling everyday for 2 weeks until I got a resolution. Fortunately I work from home, so even though it wasn’t ideal it got them moving.

Absolutely dreadful insurers. Motorbike stolen and I’ve been on hold for 90 minutes today to their ‘theft team’. They refuse to cover storage fees but you can’t get through to them to let them know the vehicle is ready for collection. Lexham Insurance should stop doing business with them

They are bunch of cowboys - avoid at all cost. Scam me for storage fees and recovery charges if my stolen recovered scooter. No way to communicate with them - they don't answering emails, call takes ages to get through and even then, there's nobody to talk with as operators just follow the script. I wish I read reviews first, before I entered any business with them.

I was knocked off my motorbike in April, but didnt want to make a claim. The other party blames me, so i have sent two accident reports, one by recorded deliver, to Markerstudy. I have also emailed the report TWICE. Now 7 months later they have emailed me to say I need to make a report! These people are useless.

I submitted a claim with this company, during the claim logging stage the gentleman who handled my claim was really helpful and promised me that I will get a courtesy car, but after few hours I received a call from the place who are repairing my car that there is a waiting list and I will have to wait, but she did say to speak to Mark study who will be able to provide you with a car, upon calling mark study, I was told that I cannot be given a car if the repairer doesn’t have a car the lady was very rude and didn’t want to help me.. when it comes to taking your money they promise you the world but then when you need something in return for the service you have paid for they cannot provide it… it’s a shame if I had a million pounds in my account the outcome would have been different! I really need a car due to nature of my work but they have declined me out right
