My son has been under the care of Dr Nagesh for the past 5 years and I can honestly say our experience as a family has been positive on the whole. I agree the receptionists can at times come across as quite rude at this centre but I have also seen how badly they are treated and how rudely they are spoken to by some parents/ carers. Parking is a nightmare as there is only a limited number of parking spaces. Unfortunately, the waiting lists are long everywhere and I completely understand how frustrating that wait is as I have been through the process with my son. My advice would be to email/ ring the centre every few months to see where your child is on the waiting list and to ask how many months it's likely to take for them to be seen. Hope this is helpful.

18 Months Later and still waiting for a diagnosis. They are failing our daughter cause they are just overrun and she will have no support for exams. Now having to look to put private support in place at a cost we can't really afford but they have left us no choice. Staff are generally nice but nothing ever gets done. Told on waiting list every week we chase. Borough is failing our Children and this impacts them as Adults.

My daughter has been under CAHMS since she was 3 and she is now 9! I’ve been trying to get her help for many years. She finally had her ados assessment 2 weeks ago where she was diagnosed with high level autism they told me her report would be back in 2 weeks so I can finally start getting things put into place for her as she majorly struggles with school. Lo and behold her report hasn’t been done and still many weeks until it’s is. They are failing these children massively. If you are in the position to go private I really would because unfortunately these people are not willing to help our vulnerable children.

Recently went for our travel vaccines. Reception was helpful and offered flexible appointments. The nurse on the day was really knowledgeable and patient with my nerves around needles. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful.

Here we go again...failed my child 9 years ago and there doing it all over again...dismissive not listening to my child's needs I'm absolutely appalled at there lack of care this place needs closing down there not fit for purpose admit you got it wrong all them years ago a child can't have imaginary symptoms for the love of god my child has suffered enough through your lack of support & not having a diagnosis you have made my child's mental health spiral it's not just ticking a box is it!? Sort it out I'm taking further action to get the help my child desperately needs.

We have visited the accorn centre for around the last 2years now and seen a number of diffrent teams. I have found the staff helpful and informative, I've also found them willing to listen to what it is I'm asking and give guidance where nessasary. Every team my now 3 and half year old has seen have been considerate of him and always interacted with him in a playful age appropriate way. We have just had our youngest refered to the accorn centre and he had his first app recently with a diffrent pediatrian. Again he was thoughtful and considerate as well as good qt listening to my concerns. Appointments are hard to get however I feel this is the same everywhere due to the major backlog. We have somtimes got success through cancellation lists. It should be known these apps will be short notice . But can be helpful!

I Was lied to on the 20 of November 2022 I was told my child would receive a letter in two weeks it's now been 20 days , so I rang today to be completely disrespected by hellen the receptionist she told me can I put you on hold , I'm just put me on hold for 18 minutes and when she got back on the phone she was completely surprised that I was offended for being put on hold for 18 minutes, when I asked to speak to the manager, she was condescending, disrespectful and passive aggressive , she's spoke in an Exaggerated higher pitch voice, I think it's disgusting the way this company treat disabled children and their parents. I truly believe they do not care about the child , waiting 2 years for an appointment isn't fair and it's settings the child up to fail It is not easy to get your child through the door and once you do it is still horrendous. The truth and reality is this place needs to be exposed and investigated otherwise it will be at the detriment of the child .

The receptionist is so rude my son got an appointment after waiting for over a year and they didn’t bother to email or post a letter for it so he missed out and then when I rang the reception didn’t even take down my sons details to check the system instead she lied and said she sent the so called letter out herself and we must have provided the wrong email address etc which we didn’t when I checked. This place is absolutely appalling my son never even got a follow up from speech therapy and is now struggling in school.

Disgusting service . They seem completely un interested in your childs needs traits or behaviours . Failed to diagnose anything and now my poor sons are left getting further and further behind educationally without any form of help and support. This service needs a complete over hall.
