Went to Hays Travel bootle and was served by Grace and had a smooth amazing service. Grace and also Jonny put their ideas together to be able to get me the best affordable holiday. Those kids in that travel agent haven’t got a clue where is north or south… the biggest problem is that: they don’t even care about that. Stuck down with their ‘computer knowledge’. Reminds me (really and unfortunately) when the little Britain David says: ‘computer says NOOOO’. So yes, we wanted a city break a few months ago. Popped into the branch for the first time. A guy with extended lipsticks (couldn’t even speak properly because of the Botox!) ask what destinations we were looking for: ‘anything apart from Poland’… his answer was hilarious: ‘so, what about Krakow then?!’… Since we dreamt bigger: go to Australia. (January 2026).. sorry, we have to wait 6 months before the scheduled holiday to looking up for options for flight and hotel! WTF?! Online many options already. Yea, it was the last chance. 1 girl was sitting by a desk. She’s gone straight to the point: she doesn’t know much about holidays, she’s only there for currency purchases! Someone got a full time job there for literally nothing?! You know what?! They were not even bothered. We felt like they want us or in general the customers leave the office so they can have a ball or laugh. Hays Travel management should seriously monitor all their employees and offices! Why can’t I get a job like this?! I love topography, I have extreme wide experience as a traveller worldwide… I would never ever let a potential customer just walk away… I always booked with the Thomas Cook. Unfortunately that’s not an option anymore. I have to do everything myself ONLINE. Saving energy and effort from these ‘don’t care attitudes’. Holiday starts with the booking, with the agent at the office… happiness starts there and excitement. That’s all.
Would give zero stars if I could. I've booked with different hays travel branches over the years and never had a problem. This one however is an absolute nightmare. We booked disneyland last year to go this March. Michael who is an ex employee who we booked this holiday with assured us flights hotel baggage and transfers was in with the package we booked. However when we got to Manchester airport there was no bags booked onto our flight. We had to pay heart £200 for bags to paris and back. We tried to not let this bother us and wanted to enjoy our sons first trip to disneyland however we get to Paris and find there's no transfers on the booking!! Which was another £100. I rang up and asked what is going on as this isn't my first holiday and Michael told us it was a complete package. Hence why we booked it. I have never been on a holiday without luggage and transfers especially now I have a toddler. More stress than needed. I delt with someone in the office who wasn't helpful atall and pretty much said it was my own fault for not booking. When I've tried to take this further they have said as Michael is an ex employee and deal was discussed with him over the phone there is no proof or what he said therfore I am wrong. The implication that I am lying about what is discussed at time of booking. Lying about that would be no benefit to me. Especially travellings eith a toddler. Its a disgraceful way to treat loyal customers. Safe to say I will never use this brach again.
