The worst company Iβve ever dealt with. They donβt keep their promises. I submitted a claim and was signed off work by my GP for three weeks. Itβs been four months now, and Iβm still waiting for the payment. They keep saying I didnβt have any injury, which is completely untrue. I even bought their most expensive policy for Β£80, which was supposed to pay from the very first day of my sick leave β yet after four months, they still refuse to pay. Recently I received an email from them saying they wonβt make any payment because I βdidnβt have a hand injury.β This is ridiculous, as my GP clearly signed me off work and advised me not to work for three weeks. I provided all the required documents, medical notes, and evidence, but they still refused to accept them. Fraud, and again, fraud. Terrible customer service and complete neglect of clients. I absolutely do not recommend this company.

I am deeply disappointed with LV Insurance. Despite having a comprehensive income protection policy and paying Β£100 a month, my claim was unjustly denied when I needed support the most. They declined my claim based on an ADHD assessment that resulted in no diagnosis, ignoring medical evidence from NHS doctors. This decision has left my family without income protection during my daughter's battle with leukaemia. LV's actions have caused immense financial and emotional stress. Their behaviour is utterly unacceptable, and I would caution others against trusting LV Insurance for critical coverage.

Despite making no claims, having a full 'no claims discount' and hearing welcome rumours that motor insurance premiums were about to become more reasonable this year, (2025), the recent renewal invitation from LV states that my new premium will be Β£513-23 which is an increase of almost 40% on last year's premium of Β£362-24. Searching around on comparison sites, I discovered that many reputable companies are offering the same cover for just over Β£300! One of these was Saga, which I have accepted. I joined the CSMA in 1976 when many of its members' insurance, including my own car and home cover, was arranged by an established and very well respected broker called Frizzell. Subsequently the CSMA was re-branded as 'Boundless' and LV took over from Frizzell. Premiums remained reasonable until Allianz took over, since when they have risen remorselessly each year. This year's increase has broken the camel's back and exhausted his loyalty over the past 50 years! No explanation was given for this outrageous premium hike when I telephoned, but I was offered a desultory 5% reduction as a 'goodwill gesture'. I leave you to guess where I told them to stick it! BE SURE TO SHOP AROUND AND NOT TO ACCEPT AUTOMATIC RENEWALS.

Iβve been left very disappointed by my experience with LV travel insurance. I previously held a policy with them but missed the renewal by just over a week. During the time I've been insured with them, I had a routine scan which showed a slightly dilated aorta β no diagnosis, no symptoms, no treatment, and simply a follow-up planned in six months. When I contacted LV to renew, I was told that because my previous policy had lapsed (I was less than 24hrs after their deemed period of lapse)βeven by such a short timeβI was no longer eligible for cover due to this "undiagnosed condition." Had the policy remained active, I would have been allowed to continue. There was no willingness to consider context or allow any flexibility. This rigid and unsympathetic stance leaves loyal, transparent customers like me unable to access cover at a time when I need it. I've been insured with LV for about three years. I value honesty and good insurance, but feel Iβve been penalised for disclosing a completely asymptomatic and incidental medical finding. Very disappointing service, with no room for reasonable discussion.

Changed my car 3mths after renewing with LV having been with them for a few years. The old car was a group 32, the newer car was group 16. I expected a partial refund and didn't shop around, however when I changed the car details on the day of purchase, LV bumped the annual insurance by nearly 40%!. I changed insurers when I got home, even with Β£40 cancellation fee I saved Β£100. Wont ever be using LV for any insurance in future.

Cancelled my home insurance policy back in November 2022 as I was moving house and was advised to cancel my direct debit at the same time, which I did. I received an email today, saying I owe LV money. Slightly confused I called up and was told my insurance wasn't cancelled back in November and I owed them money. Luckily I had a very helpful lady called Mabel who was able to process the payment then give me a refund back for the majority of the money. LV is an awful company and I advise everyone to stay clear of them as some of their employees clearly can't do their jobs! Mable on the other hand was very helpful so would like to give her credit as she is not like the other employees I spoke with.

Aleah from LV was incredibly unhelpful. Was becoming very irate on the phone call also talking over me. Was told the excess on repairs would be waived as it was a non fault claim. She even listened to the call I was making the claim on and it details that the excess would be waived. Very Unhelpful team. After speaking with Aleah as she was so unhelpful I asked to speak to a manager he was called Nathan, again very unhelpful. Will not be using LV again and will definitely be making sure all friends and family stay away from this sham of a company.

Two years from my previous 5 star review and there is no change. In truth, my service from LV car insurance is even better. I have been unfortunate to have had two accidents in this time. Both were not my fault but one had to be claimed against my policy because the other party gave me incorrect details of his name and insurance details. LV were simply brilliant and the renewal price quoted to me was very reasonable. To quote the song they are 'Simply the Best'.

I phoned last week and had a message all staff were on a training day. I subsequently emailed and was informed it could take 4 weeks for them to reply, which will take me past the 31st August deadline. I have phoned again today ..and they're on a training day ..again!!! Ridiculous....

Hi LV I have been sent through renewal documents for my home insurance and replied to an email over a week ago to advise of my move. (No response). Just had renewal confirmation through this morning over a week later. Called the main line number to advise of this and that still under old address. Spoken to Himali in home department at 8am. Advised charge of Β£15.00 to change address or Β£25.00 cancelation fee. Advised to cancel. I would have thought being such a large company and to try and hold on to clients and poss get more from me as a client (ie) car insurance, buildings etc) that they would at least try and offer something for a client not too leave. I will def not be recommending LV to my clients or friends. Terry Attewell
