No phone calls to those on-line brokers, but face to face on a comfortable chair. A nice "lad" (I'm 77) Richard Hennen dealt with my cases, and for me really made the firm shine. If you ever find a cheaper quote on line, take it in and let them look through it. They will find the reasons it is cheaper - usually much bigger excesses, but they will always enquire to see if their insurer will match it.
